We bring you last week's top former Screaming Eagles players who are currently playing in pro basketball.

#1. Aaron Nelson (6'9''-F-91, graduated '14, plays pro in Lebanon) led Byblos to a 2-point victory over the closely-ranked Atlas Ferzol (2-4) 81-79 in the Lebanese LBL last Thursday. He was MVP of the game. Nelson had a double-double by scoring 26 points and getting 16 rebounds. He also added 3 assists, 5 blocks and 3 steals in 39 minutes. Byblos Sporting Club (2-4) is placed sixth in the LBL. The Regular Season already ended. It's Nelson's first season with the team. Nelson has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 29.3ppg, 11.8rpg, 3.0apg, 2.3bpg and 1.8spg in four games he played so far.

#2. Jamar Smith (6'3''-G-87, graduated '10, plays in Russia) could not help Unics Kazan (7-2) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his good performance Unics Kazan was edged 68-66 on the road by the much lower-ranked Parma (#11). Smith was the second best scorer with 14 points. Smith has relatively good stats this season 12.8ppg, 3.3rpg and 3.1apg.

#3. Experienced Danny Gibson (5'10''-PG-84, graduated '06, currently in Turkey) led Demir Insaat Buyukcekmece Basket to an easy victory against the league outsider Istanbul BBSK (2-9) 97-78 in the Turkish BSL in Saturday night's game. Gibson scored 19 points, made 4 passes and 4 steals in 27 minutes. Demir Insaat Buyukcekmece Basket (5-6) is placed ninth in the BSL. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Gibson's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 14.0ppg, 2.0rpg and 5.0apg in two games.

#4. Reque Newsome (6'9''-PF-81, graduated '05, plays pro in Uruguay) led Olimpia to a victory against the eighth-ranked Hebraica (8-6) 92-83 in a derby game in the Uruguayan LUB last Thursday. He scored 15 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Club Atletico Olimpia Montevideo (10-5) is placed second in the LUB. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Newsome has relatively good stats this season 10.5ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.3apg. He is a naturalized Uruguayan.

#5. Nicholas Evans (6'11''-C-88, graduated '12, plays in Canada) was not able to help the Moncton Magic in their game against the Cape Breton Highlanders (4-5) in the NBL Canada, despite his good performance last Friday. He scored 11 points and blocked 8 shots in 27 minutes. But the Moncton Magic was crushed 114-84 in Sydney by the lower-ranked (#3) Cape Breton Highlanders. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Evans' first year with the team. Evans has relatively good stats this season 10.5ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.3apg in 15 games.
