Top Missouri Southern State University alumni playing currently pro basketball - Dec 20, 2018

We bring you last week's top former Lions players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Cameron Cornelius (6'0''-PG-92, graduated '15, plays pro in Romania) led Focsani to a victory over the tenth-ranked Univ.Cluj (0-14) crushing them 76-49 in the Romanian Liga Nationala in Tuesday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Cornelius had a double-double by scoring 22 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added and 3 steals in 31 minutes. CSM Focsani 2007 (8-5) is placed fifth in Group C. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Cornelius' first season with the team. Cornelius has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 17.1ppg, 4.2rpg and 1.5spg in 13 games he played so far.

   #2. Skyler Bowlin (6'3''-G-89, graduated '11, plays in Germany) contributed to a s.Oliver Wuerzburg's victory against the third-ranked Pinar Karsiyaka (1-1) 96-87 in the FIBA Europe Cup last Wednesday. He scored 9 points and added 8 passes. s.Oliver Wuerzburg (2-0) is placed first in group I. There are only four games left until the end of the FIBA Europe Cup Second Stage. So now every game is very crucial. It's Bowlin's first season with the team. This year Bowlin averages 7.5ppg, 2.5rpg, 7.3apg and 1.8spg.

   #3. CJ Carr (5'8''-PG-95, graduated '18, currently in Germany), who plays in the German Regionalliga (fourth division) could not help BG Topstar Leitershofen/Stadtbergen (11-2) in their last game. Despite Carr's very good performance the first-placed BG Topstar Leitershofen/Stadtbergen (11-2) lost 92-105 on the road to the much lower-ranked (#8) Ansbach in the South-East group. He was the top scorer with 37 points. Carr also added 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 40 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. It's Carr's first year with the team. Carr has very impressive stats this season 27.0ppg, 4.8rpg, 3.9apg and 2.3spg in 13 games.

   #4. Marquis Addison (6'4''-G-91, graduated '14, plays pro in France) was the major contributor in a Denain ASC Voltaire's surprising victory against the league leader Chorale de Roanne (8-2) 87-81 in the French ProB (second division) in Tuesday night's game. Addison recorded 17 points and added 3 passes. Denain ASC Voltaire (3-7) is placed 16th in the ProB. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Addison's first year with the team. He has relatively good stats this season 13.5ppg, 3.7rpg and 2.8apg.

   #5. Keane Thomann (6'11''-C-89, graduated '12, plays in Denmark) was not able to help EBAA (4-7) in their last game. Despite his good performance the first-placed EBAA (4-7) was crushed 95-64 in Horsens by the second-ranked Horsens IC in the ProB group. Thomann had a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting 10 rebounds in 28 minutes. This year Thomann averages 7.9ppg, 6.0rpg and 1.3apg in nine games.

   #6. Experienced Vincent Ateba (6'5''-SF-85, graduated '09, currently in France) managed to help Saint Vallier Basket Drome to win against the seventh-ranked Charleville-Mezieres crushing them 103-76 in the French NM1 (third division) on Tuesday night. Ateba scored only 4 points and added 4 assists. This season Ateba averages 9.0ppg, 3.1rpg and 1.9apg.

   #7. Kevin Hinsey (6'4''-G/F, graduated '12, plays pro in Bahamas) helped Commonwealth Bank Giants win their game against the closely-ranked Regulators 80-68 in a derby game in the Bahamas NPBA in Friday night's game. He scored 5 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 14 minutes. This year Hinsey averages 5.7ppg, 5.0rpg, 3.0apg and 2.0spg in three games.

   #8. Jordan Talbert (6'6''-F-91, graduated '14, plays in Germany) helped Rostock win their game against the 14th-ranked Walter Tigers 78-70 in the German ProA (second division) last Sunday. He scored 7 points. This season Talbert averages 4.1ppg and 2.7rpg.

   #9. Taevaunn Prince (6'3''-G/F-91, graduated '16, currently in Spain) was the main contributor in a Ponferrada CDP's victory against the tenth-ranked Naron crushing them 104-80 in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) on Saturday night. Prince was MVP of the game. He recorded 30 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists in 34 minutes. Prince has very impressive stats this year 22.7ppg, 6.4rpg and 2.7apg in 10 games.
