Delta State Claims Seventh GSC Men's Basketball Championship - Mar 11, 2019

- Two of the best defenses in the league made scoring tough to come by in the first half, combining for 48 points.
- This was the first meeting between these two perennial powers in the GSC Men's Basketball Championship Game.
- Delta State took home the conference title for the seventh time in school history, and the sixth in a tournament format. Their last title came in 2006.
- This was the second straight appearance for the Statesmen in the GSC Title Game.
