Every week we bring you a list of the top former Mustangs players who continue their career in pro basketball.
Notice impressive performance of Ben Moore (9 points), Sterling Brown (13 points), and Zhuric Phelps (21 points).
#1. Ben Moore, a 30-year-old forward standing at 6'8'' who graduated from SMU in 2017, is currently playing professionally in Greece. He played a crucial role in helping SMU to become the AAC Regular Season Champion in 2017. In a recent game, Moore contributed significantly to PAOK's victory over the closely-ranked Peristeri with a score of 77-72 in the Greek Stoiximan Basketball League. He showcased his skills by scoring 9 points, grabbing 9 rebounds, and providing 4 assists in 33 minutes of play.
Currently, Moore's team, PAOK Mateco Thessaloniki, holds the third position in the league with a record of 17-7. The recent win against Peristeri marked their sixth consecutive victory. Moore's impressive performance on the court not only contributed to the team's success but also highlighted his capabilities as a champion.
Throughout the season, Moore has maintained solid statistics, averaging 11.8 points per game, 7.0 rebounds per game (leading the league in this category), and 1.4 assists per game. His consistent performance and leadership qualities make him a valuable asset to his team as they strive for success in the league.
#2. Sterling Brown, a 31-year-old small forward standing at 6'6'' and an alumnus of the Mustangs from 2017, played a crucial role in helping his team secure the AAC Regular Season Champion title that year. Currently, he is showcasing his skills playing professionally in Serbia. Recently, Brown led his Serbian team Partizan to a significant victory against the league leader KK Bosna Meridianbet Sarajevo, with a score of 87-73 in the AdmiralBet ABA League on Sunday night.
In this pivotal match between two top 4 ranked teams, Brown demonstrated his prowess on the court by scoring 13 points, securing 3 rebounds, and providing 6 assists in just 27 minutes of play. His performance was instrumental in Partizan's triumph over their opponent. Brown's standout contributions undoubtedly played a crucial role in his team emerging as the champion of the game.
With an impressive season average of 10.2 points per game, 2.6 rebounds per game, and 2.5 assists per game, Brown continues to be a valuable asset to his team. His consistent performances and leadership qualities make him a key player in Partizan Mozzart Bet Beograd's quest for success in the league.
#3. Zhuric Phelps, a 6'4'' guard who graduated from Texas A&M in 2025 after playing for SMU between 2021 and 2024, is currently showcasing his skills as a professional player in Mexico. Recently, despite his stellar performance, he was unable to lead the Zonkeys de Tijuana to victory in their match against the leading Astros, which ended in a 97-92 defeat on the road.
Even though Tijuana faced a tough loss, Phelps stood out as the top scorer of the game with 21 points. In addition to his scoring prowess, he contributed 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals during the 30 minutes he spent on the court. These impressive stats reflect his all-around abilities on the basketball court.
The Regular Season has already concluded, and throughout the season, Phelps has maintained solid statistics, averaging 14.5 points per game, 3.5 rebounds per game, 3.0 assists per game, and 1.8 steals per game. His consistent performance and versatility on the court make him a valuable asset to his team, even in challenging matchups against tough opponents like the Astros.
#4. Nigerian player Semi Ojeleye, a 6'7'' forward who is 31 years old and an alumnus of the Mustangs from 2017, is currently playing professionally in Serbia. He recently played a crucial role in helping his team, Crvena zvezda, secure a significant victory against the closely-ranked Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana in the AdmiralBet ABA League. Ojeleye put up 8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 23 minutes of play during the game, which was a highly anticipated matchup between two top 4 ranked teams. With this win, KK Crvena zvezda Meridianbet Beograd, where Ojeleye is in his first season, claimed their fourth consecutive victory and solidified their position as the third-placed team in the league standings.

In a recent game in the German easyCredit BBL, Canadian Isiaha Mike, a 28-year-old forward standing at 6'7'' and a former graduate of SMU in 2020 who received the All-AAC Third Team award that year, showcased his skills for FC Bayern Muenchen Basketball. He played a key role in their 86-78 victory over the ninth-ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg, contributing 2 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 assists in 29 minutes on the court.
FC Bayern Muenchen Basketball, currently leading the league with a record of 29-5, secured their ninth consecutive win with this triumph. This victory was crucial as they have only one more game left in the Regular Season, making every upcoming game critical for their standings.
Isiaha Mike's performance against Ludwigsburg was remarkable, displaying his versatility and impact on the court. Despite scoring only 2 points, his 10 rebounds and 2 assists were instrumental in guiding his team to success as the champion. Throughout the season, Mike has maintained solid averages of 9.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.1 steals per game, proving to be a valuable asset for FC Bayern Muenchen Basketball.
#6. Samuell Williamson, a 25-year-old 6'8'' forward and alummi of the Mustangs from 2024, currently playing professionally in Germany, was unable to lead MLP Academics Heidelberg (9-25) to victory in their recent game against Vechta. Despite his commendable performance, the bottom-ranked Heidelberg team was defeated 103-89 by the much higher-ranked Rasta (#10).
Williamson showcased his skills by recording a double-double with 11 points and 11 assists, along with 4 rebounds, during his 32 minutes on the court. Despite his impressive contributions, Heidelberg was unable to overcome the strong opposition of Vechta.
Throughout the season, Williamson has maintained an average of 7.0 points per game, 4.6 rebounds per game, 2.4 assists per game, and 1.5 steals per game. His consistent performance demonstrates his value as a key player for his team, even in challenging matchups against higher-ranked opponents.
#7. Kendric Davis, a 6'0'' point guard aged 26, graduated from Memphis in 2023. However, he previously played for SMU from 2019 to 2022, where he earned the prestigious All-AAC Player of the Year award in his final year. Currently, he is showcasing his skills as a professional player in Puerto Rico.
In a recent game, Davis played a crucial role in Osos de Manati's victory over the second-ranked Criollos, with a final score of 94-89 in the Puerto Rican Baloncesto Superior Nacional. During the game, he demonstrated his prowess by scoring 23 points and providing 5 assists in 33 minutes on the court. This stellar performance further solidified his reputation as a champion player.
In another notable game against Caguas, Davis once again shined by scoring an impressive 23 points, securing 1 rebound, and distributing 5 assists, ultimately leading his team to triumph. His consistent and outstanding contributions have established him as a finalist on the court.
Throughout the season, Davis has maintained impressive individual statistics, averaging 23.1 points per game, along with 1.7 rebounds and 4.1 assists. His remarkable skills and dedication make him a standout player in the league, showcasing his potential to continue thriving as a champion in the world of basketball.
#8. In a recent game in the German easyCredit BBL, Michael Weathers, a 28-year-old 6'3'' guard and a Mustangs alumni from 2022, played alongside his teammate, the previously mentioned Samuell Williamson. Weathers, who currently plays professionally in Germany, was unable to lead MLP Academics Heidelberg to a victory against Science City Jena in a closely contested match. Despite his best efforts, Weathers contributed 7 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists in 26 minutes of play, as his team narrowly lost 81-79.
Weathers showcased his skills in the game, displaying his versatility on the court with his scoring, playmaking, and defensive abilities. Throughout the season, he has maintained solid statistics, averaging 12.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. He continues to be a key player for his team, consistently making valuable contributions both offensively and defensively.
#9. Ethan Chargois, a 6'9'' forward who is 27 years old and a graduate of Oklahoma in 2022, showcased his skills in a recent game where Gargzdu emerged victorious against closely-ranked Lietkabelis with a score of 78-69 in the Lithuanian Betsafe Lietuvos krepsinio lyga. Despite playing only 13 minutes, Chargois made a significant impact by scoring 9 points, grabbing 3 rebounds, and providing 2 assists against Lietkabelis. His contributions were instrumental in securing the win and propelling his team to the next round, further cementing his reputation as a true champion.

#10. Chuck Harris, a 6'2'' guard and 24-year-old former Mustangs alumni from 2025, showcased his skills while playing professionally in Germany. In a recent game, he couldn't carry his team, the Bozic Estriche Knights Kirchheim (20-14), to victory against the formidable BG Goettingen (#3) in Goettingen. Even though Harris delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 19 points and providing 6 assists in just 26 minutes, Kirchheim ultimately succumbed to a 99-87 defeat.
Despite the loss, Harris stood out as the top scorer of the game. His impressive showing included not only scoring points but also contributing with 6 assists. Throughout the season, Harris has maintained solid statistics, averaging 13.9 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game.
In summary, Chuck Harris demonstrated his prowess as a champion on the court, but even his remarkable performance couldn't secure a win for his team in the face of tough competition.
