EuroBasket Pro Rams Weekly Update

We bring you last week's top former Rams players who are currently playing in pro basketball.



   #1. Hassan Martin (6'8''-C-1995, played in 2013-17, plays pro in Israel) led Hapoel Holon to a victory over the league outsider Ironi Nes-Ziona (0-4) 82-70 in the Israeli Winner League in Friday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Martin recorded 18 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 24 minutes. Hapoel Holon (3-0) is placed third in the Winner League. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Martin's first year with the team. He has relatively good stats this season 11.0ppg, 6.7rpg and 1.3spg in three games he played so far.

   #2. Daron Russell (5'11''-PG-1998, played in 2017-21, plays in Romania) was the main contributor in an Cluj Napoca's victory against the league leader Igokea (3-1) crushing them 106-84 in the ABA League last Saturday. He was MVP of the game. Russell scored 23 points, made 4 passes and 3 steals. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. U-Banca Transilvania Cluj Napoca (2-2) is placed first in the ABA League. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Russell has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 16.0ppg, 3.5rpg, 4.0apg and 1.5spg.

   #3. Experienced Xavier Munford (6'4''-G-1992, played in 2012-14, currently in Israel) is a teammate of previously mentioned Hassan Martin and both played together in the last Israeli Winner League game. Munford contributed to a Hapoel Holon's victory against the league outsider Ironi Nes-Ziona (0-4) 82-70. He recorded 13 points and added 6 passes in 33 minutes. It's Munford's first season with the team. Munford has relatively good stats this year 14.0ppg, 2.3rpg and 2.7apg in three games.

   #4. Jeff Dowtin Jr. (6'3''-G-1997, played in 2015-15, plays pro in Israel). Dowtin Jr. could not help Maccabi Playtika Tel-Aviv (2-6) to beat Crvena zvezda (7-2) in the Euroleague. He scored 8 points and added 4 passes. Maccabi Playtika Tel-Aviv was defeated 99-92 on the road by the leading Crvena zvezda. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. It's Dowtin Jr.'s first year with the team. This season Dowtin Jr. averages 9.1ppg, 1.1rpg and 3.0apg.

   #5. Cyril Langevine (6'8''-C-1998, played in 2016-20, plays in Israel) helped Hapoel Nofar Energy Galil Elion win their game against the closely-ranked E.Netanya (1-3) 85-78 in the Israeli Winner League last Monday. Langevine was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 13 rebounds. Langevine also added 2 blocks in 29 minutes. Hapoel Nofar Energy Galil Elion (2-2) is placed ninth in the Winner League. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. It's Langevine's first year with the team. He has relatively good stats this season 10.8ppg, 8.8rpg and 1.5apg in four games.

   #6. Nikola Malesevic (6'8''-F-1989, played in 2009-13, currently in North Macedonia) was the major contributor in Pelister's victory against one of league's weakest teams Angeli crushing them 100-76 in the North Macedonian Prva Liga on Sunday night. Malesevic scored 15 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists. This season he has very high stats. Malesevic averages 17.3ppg, 4.8rpg and 3.8apg.

   #7. Ishmael El-Amin (6'3''-G-1998, played in 2021-22, plays pro in Italy) was not able to help Napoli (1-3) in their last game. Despite his good performance Napoli lost 90-97 at home to the leading Trapani. El-Amin scored 12 points and added 3 passes in 24 minutes. This year he averages 9.0ppg, 1.5rpg and 2.3apg in six games.

   #8. Quentin Diboundje-Eyobo (6'5''-G-2002, played in 2024-25, plays in Portugal) was not able to secure a victory for Galitos-Barreiro in their game against Oliveirense in the Portuguese Liga Betclic. Despite his very good performance on Saturday night He was the second best scorer with 15 points. Diboundje-Eyobo also added 6 rebounds and 3 assists. He has relatively good stats this season 13.0ppg, 6.0rpg, 3.5apg and 1.5spg.

   #9. EC Matthews (6'5''-G-1994, played in 2013-23, currently in Portugal) faced previously mentioned Quentin Diboundje-Eyobo in the Portuguese Liga Betclic last game. Matthews managed to help U.D. Oliveirense in a victory against one of league's weakest teams Galitos-Barreiro crushing them 93-73. He recorded only 4 points in 22 minutes. This year Matthews averages 8.7ppg and 2.3rpg in three games.

   #10. Javonte Brown-Ferguson (7'0''-C-2002, played in 2024-25, plays pro in Spain) helped Grupo Ureta Tizona Burgos win their game against the closely-ranked Gipuzkoa 81-73 in the Spanish Primera FEB (second division) in Friday night's game. Brown-Ferguson scored only 2 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. This season he averages 3.0ppg and 2.5rpg.
