We bring you last week's top former Dragons players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Experienced Phil Goss (6'2''-PG-83, graduated '05, plays pro in Greece) could not help PAOK (18-4) in their last game. Despite his very good performance PAOK lost 68-76 at home to the lower-ranked (#5) Promitheas. Goss was the second best scorer with 17 points. He also added 3 steals in 38 minutes. Goss has relatively good stats this year 12.2ppg, 2.2rpg, 2.5apg and 1.3spg in 26 games he played so far.

   #2. Frank Elegar (6'10''-C-86, graduated '08, plays in Turkey) led Tofas to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Besiktas (16-12) crushing them 102-76 in the Turkish BSL last Thursday. Elegar recorded 13 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Tofas Bursa (9-7) is placed third in the BSL. Elegar has relatively good stats this season 11.5ppg, 5.5rpg, 1.7apg and 1.1spg. He has also Guyanese citizenship.

   #3. Samme Givens (6'6''-F-89, graduated '12, currently in Israel) was the major contributor in a Maccabi Hunter Haifa's victory against the closely-ranked H.Galilee (17-9) 76-69 in the Israeli National League (second division) on Friday night. Givens recorded 19 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists in 39 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Maccabi Hunter Haifa (16-10) is placed fourth in the National League. It's Givens' first season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Givens averages 15.8ppg, 8.2rpg, 2.6apg and 1.3spg in 35 games.

   #4. Frantz Massenat (6'4''-G-92, graduated '15, plays pro in Germany) contributed to a EWE Baskets Oldenburg's victory against the seventh-ranked Telekom Baskets (18-16) 105-94 in the German BBL in Sunday night's game. Massenat recorded 7 points. EWE Baskets Oldenburg (28-6) is placed second in the BBL. It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. Massenat has relatively good stats this season 11.3ppg, 2.1rpg and 2.9apg. He is a naturalized Haitian.

   #5. Sammy Mojica (6'3''-G-94, graduated '18, plays in Puerto Rico) led Leones de Ponce to a victory against the league outsider Indios (11-18) 94-86 in the Puerto Rican BSN last Thursday. He recorded 15 points in a mere 17 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Mojica's first season in pro basketball. Leones de Ponce (16-13) is placed fourth in the BSN. This year Mojica averages 3.6ppg in eight games.

   #6. Randy Oveneke (6'7''-F-86, played in 2004-08, currently in Belgium) was not able to help Kangoeroes Basket Mechelen in their game against Antwerp Giants in the Belgian Euromillions League. Oveneke recorded 9 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. His team was crushed by 22 points 94-72. This season Oveneke averages 2.9ppg and 1.3rpg.
