Top University of Montana alumni playing currently pro basketball

We bring you last week's top former Grizzlies players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Martin Breunig (6'8''-F-92, graduated '16, plays pro in Germany) was the major contributor in a Telekom Baskets Bonn's surprising victory against the league leader Bayern Muenchen (31-3) 102-98 in the German BBL in Sunday night's game. He recorded 16 points and added 3 passes in 21 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Breunig's third season in pro basketball. Telekom Baskets Bonn (18-16) is placed seventh in the BBL. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Breunig has relatively good stats this year 10.8ppg, 4.2rpg and 1.2apg in 31 games he played so far.

   #2. Brian Qvale (6'10''-C-88, graduated '11, plays in Italy) contributed to a Virtus Bologna's victory against the closely-ranked Openjobmetis VA (16-14) 84-73 in the Italian Serie A last Sunday. He scored 9 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Virtus Segafredo Bologna (15-15) is placed 11th in the Serie A. The Regular Season already ended. It's Qvale's first season with the team. This year Qvale averages 7.8ppg and 4.2rpg.

   #3. Fabijan Krslovic (6'8''-F-95, graduated '18, currently in Australia), who plays in the Australian State League (second division) could not help Cairns Marlins (3-4) in their last game. Despite Krslovic's very good performance the eighth-placed Cairns Marlins (3-4) lost 89-101 on the road to the leading Mackay Meteors in the QBL group. He had a double-double by scoring 26 points and getting 11 rebounds. Krslovic also added 4 assists and 2 blocks in 34 minutes; not bad, considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. Krslovic has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 17.7ppg, 9.6rpg, 2.9apg, 1.1bpg and 1.3spg in seven games.

   #4. Experienced David Bell (6'1''-PG-81, graduated '03, plays pro in Germany) was not able to help Giessen 46ers (13-21) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Bell's good performance Giessen 46ers was edged 82-81 in Frankfurt by the higher-ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (#11). He recorded 13 points and added 3 passes. The Regular Season already ended. It's Bell's first season with the team. Bell has relatively good stats this year 11.8ppg, 2.0rpg and 1.7apg.

   #5. Jordan Gregory (6'2''-G-92, graduated '15, plays in Spain) led Marin to a victory against the leader HLA Alicante (28-6) 91-86 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) last Saturday. Gregory recorded 16 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists in 37 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group West. Marin PeixeGalego (19-15) is placed third. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. It's Gregory's first season with the team. He has very impressive stats this year 16.7ppg, 3.5rpg and 2.3apg in 34 games.
