Top University of Alabama at Birmingham alumni playing currently pro basketball

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Blazers alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Aaron Johnson (5'8''-PG-88, graduated '11, plays pro in Latvia) could not help Ventspils (27-1) in their last game. Despite his good performance the league leader Ventspils lost 90-98 on the road to the second-ranked VEF Riga. Johnson had a double-double by scoring 13 points and making 12 passes in 23 minutes. It's Johnson's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 11.6ppg, 1.6rpg and 7.2apg in five games he played so far.

   #2. Dirk Williams (6'5''-G-94, graduated '17, plays in United Kingdom) was not able to help DBL Sharks Sheffield in their game against London CR (18-15) in the British BBL. Despite his very good performance on Saturday night He was the top scorer with 30 points. Williams also added 6 rebounds. Williams has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 19.3ppg, 5.0rpg, 2.8apg and 1.3spg.

   #3. Jamarr Sanders (6'4''-G-88, graduated '11, currently in Italy) was not able to secure a victory for Alma TR (16-14) in their game against Armani Milano (23-7) in the Italian Serie A, despite his very good performance in Sunday night's game. Sanders scored 13 points and added 4 passes in 30 minutes. But Alma TR lost 88-93 in Milano to the leading Armani. It was Alma TR's third consecutive loss in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Sanders' first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 10.5ppg, 4.3rpg and 2.8apg in 28 games.

   #4. Elijah Millsap (6'6''-G-87, graduated '10, plays pro in Uruguay) couldn't help Malvin (4-1) in their game against Aguada (3-2) in the Uruguayan LUB. Despite his very good performance last Tuesday He was the second best scorer with 23 points. Millsap also added 7 rebounds. Millsap has relatively good stats this season 11.0ppg, 3.7rpg and 2.8apg.

   #5. Jordan Swing (6'6''-F-90, graduated '14, plays in Israel) was the major contributor in a Beer Sheva's victory against the tenth-ranked Galil Gilboa (11-21) crushing them 104-77 in the Israeli Winner League last Wednesday. Swing scored 18 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 8 assists in 30 minutes. Hapoel Beer Sheva (15-17) is placed fifth in the Winner League. It was his team's first victory after five consecutive loses. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. It's Swing's first season with the team. He has very impressive stats this year 15.3ppg, 5.4rpg, 3.1apg and 1.1spg in 32 games.

   #6. Chad Frazier (6'4''-G-92, graduated '14, currently in Turkey) led Sigortam.net ITU to a victory against the closely-ranked Socar Petkim 69-61 in the Turkish TBL (second division) on Friday night. He recorded 13 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Frazier has relatively good stats this season 14.2ppg, 3.8rpg and 2.5apg.

   #7. Experienced Wen Boss Mukubu (6'6''-F-83, graduated '07, plays pro in Belgium) couldn't help Hubo Limburg United in their game against Antwerp Giants in the Belgian Euromillions League. Mukubu scored 6 points and added 3 assists in 20 minutes. His team lost 83-95. This year he averages 6.2ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.5apg in 22 games. Mukubu has also Belgian passport.

   #8. Paul Delaney (6'2''-PG-86, graduated '09, plays in France) couldn't help Union Poitiers Basket 86 in their game against Entente Orleans 45 in the French ProB (second division). He cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. Delaney scored only one point and added 3 passes. It was his first game for Union Poitiers Basket 86 this season. His team was defeated 83-79.

   #9. Tosin Mehinti (6'9''-F-94, graduated '17, currently in Spain) contributed to a 2-point Real Murcia's victory against the seventh-ranked Estela 70-68 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) on Saturday night. Mehinti recorded 9 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 22 minutes. This year he averages 7.4ppg, 6.4rpg and 1.1bpg in 27 games.

   #10. Terrence Roderick (6'5''-SF-88, graduated '09, plays pro in Italy) led Bergamo Bsk to a 2-point victory over the third-ranked Extralight MNT 75-73 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) in Tuesday night's game. Roderick was MVP of the game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 29 points and getting 12 rebounds. Roderick also added 4 assists and 3 steals. This season he has very high stats. Roderick averages 20.3ppg, 10.5rpg, 5.8apg and 1.5spg.
