Top Villanova University alumni playing currently pro basketball

Every week we bring you a list of the top former Wildcats players who continue their career in pro basketball.


   #1. Experienced Kyle Lowry (6'0''-PG-86, graduated '06, plays pro in the NBA) could not help the Toronto Raptors (58-24) in their game last Wednesday. Despite his very good performance the Toronto Raptors (58-24) were defeated 108-100 on the road by the Milwaukee Bucks. Lowry was the second best scorer with 30 points. He also added 8 rebounds in 40 minutes. It's Lowry's seventh season with the team. Lowry has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 14.2ppg, 4.9rpg, 8.3apg and 1.4spg.

   #2. Darrun Hilliard (6'6''-G-93, graduated '15, plays in Spain) led Baskonia to a victory against the league outsider Gipuzkoa (9-22) 87-77 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Thursday night's game. Hilliard recorded 13 points. Kirolbet Baskonia Vitoria (25-6) is placed second in the Liga Endesa. It was his team's 11th consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Hilliard's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 11.0ppg, 2.5rpg, 1.4apg and 1.1spg in 31 games he played so far.

   #3. Scottie Reynolds (6'1''-G-87, graduated '10, currently in Israel), who plays in the Israeli Winner League was not able to help Hapoel Unet Holon (16-7) in their game last Friday. Despite his good performance Hapoel Unet Holon was defeated 108-99 in Jerusalem by the second-ranked Hapoel. Reynolds recorded 12 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists in 27 minutes. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. This season Reynolds averages 6.4ppg, 2.1rpg, 4.6apg and 1.1spg.

   #4. Reggie Redding (6'5''-F/G-88, graduated '10, plays pro in Turkey) contributed to a Turk Telekom's victory against the closely-ranked Banvit (14-14) 96-83 in the Turkish BSL on Sunday night. Redding scored 8 points, had 8 rebounds and dished 6 assists. Turk Telekom Ankara (8-8) is placed fifth in the BSL. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. This year Redding averages 7.8ppg, 2.5rpg, 3.5apg and 1.1spg in 24 games.

   #5. James Bell (6'6''-SF-92, graduated '14, plays in Montenegro) was the major contributor in Buducnost's victory against the fifth-ranked Ulcinj (2-8) 92-84 in the Montenegrin Erste Liga in Thursday night's game. Bell scored 17 points in 27 minutes. KK Buducnost Voli Podgorica (6-0) is placed first in Places 1-6 group. So far his team won all six games in the Second Stage. They will play only one more game in the Second Stage. And now that game is quite important. Bell has relatively good stats this season 10.5ppg, 2.6rpg and 2.6apg.

   #6. Daniel Ochefu (6'11''-F-93, graduated '16, currently in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for Cafes Candelas Breogan Lugo in their game against CB Canarias in the Spanish Liga Endesa. Ochefu did not beat the league record on Thursday evening. He recorded only 3 points. His team was edged 85-84. This year Ochefu averages 3.7ppg and 3.3rpg in three games.

   #7. Antonio Pena (6'9''-PF-86, graduated '11, plays pro in Mexico) couldn't help Mantarrayas de La Paz in their game against Pioneros Los Mochis in the Mexican CIBACOPA. Despite his very good performance last Thursday He was the top scorer with 34 points. Pena also added 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals in 38 minutes. This season Pena has very high stats. He averages 21.2ppg, 5.0rpg, 4.3apg and 1.2spg. Pena is a naturalized Dominican.
