Top Saint Louis University alumni playing currently pro basketball

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Billikens alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Dwayne Evans (6'7''-F-92, graduated '14, plays pro in Germany) led Ratiopharm Ulm to a victory against the 14th-ranked BG Goettingen (9-23) 82-76 in the German BBL on Wednesday night. He recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and getting 10 rebounds. Evans also added and 3 steals in 37 minutes. Ratiopharm Ulm (19-13) is placed sixth in the BBL. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Evans' first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 14.7ppg, 6.6rpg, 2.2apg and 1.4spg.

   #2. Experienced Ian Vougioukas (7'0''-C-85, graduated '07, plays in Greece) contributed to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked Holargos (11-14) 81-64 in the Greek A1 in Saturday night's game. He scored 6 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Panathinaikos Superfoods Athens (19-1) is placed first in the A1. Vougioukas' team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. This year Vougioukas averages 5.3ppg, 2.2rpg and 1.3apg in 19 games he played so far.

   #3. Luis Santos (6'8''-F-94, graduated '18, currently in Argentina) was the major contributor in an Olimpico de La Banda's surprising victory against the sixth-ranked Regatas Corrientes (21-15) 88-83 in the Argentinian La Liga last Monday. He recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 14 rebounds in 31 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Santos' first season in pro basketball. Olimpico de La Banda (17-20) is placed 12th in the La Liga. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is quite important. This season Santos averages 7.7ppg and 4.1rpg.

   #4. Adonys Henriquez (6'6''-G-94, graduated '18, plays pro in Argentina) contributed to an easy victory against the 16th-ranked Hispano Americano de Rio Gallegos (12-22) crushing them 86-58 in the Argentinian La Liga on Sunday night. He recorded 11 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Regatas Corrientes (21-15) is placed sixth in the La Liga. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. This year Henriquez averages 9.6ppg, 3.2rpg and 1.1apg in 33 games. He is a naturalized Dominican.

   #5. Robert Loe (6'11''-F-91, graduated '14, plays in New Zealand) contributed to a Wellington Saints' victory against the sixth-ranked Huskies (2-3) 91-86 in the New Zealand NBL in Saturday night's game. He recorded 12 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 29 minutes. Wellington Saints (5-0) are placed first in the NBL. So far his team won all five games in the Regular Season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Loe has relatively good stats this year 12.6ppg, 7.4rpg and 2.4apg.

   #6. Cody Ellis (6'8''-F-90, graduated '13, currently in Australia) led Warwick Senators to a victory over the second-ranked Wanneroo 80-71 in the Australian State League (second division) last Saturday. He was MVP of the game. Ellis recorded 17 points, 4 rebounds and 2 blocks. Ellis has relatively good stats this year 13.6ppg, 3.6rpg, 4.6apg, 2.8bpg and 2.6spg in nine games.

   #7. Brian Conklin (6'7''-F-89, graduated '12, plays pro in Puerto Rico) could not help Indios de Mayaguez (6-15) in their game last Tuesday. Despite his good performance the bottom-ranked Indios de Mayaguez was badly defeated 108-91 on the road by the higher-ranked Leones (#6). Conklin recorded 10 points in 23 minutes. Conklin has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 15.1ppg, 6.4rpg and 1.9apg.

   #8. Jordair Jett (6'1''-G-91, graduated '14, plays in New Zealand) helped Mike Pero Nelson Giants win their game against one of league's weakest teams Rangers 95-77 in the New Zealand NBL in Saturday night's game. He recorded 8 points, 4 assists and 3 steals. Jett has very impressive stats this year 17.3ppg, 3.3rpg, 7.0apg and 1.5spg in four games.

   #9. Cory Remekun (6'9''-F/C-91, graduated '13, currently in France) managed to help Lille Metropole Basket to win against the 15th-ranked Denain Voltaire 85-75 in the French ProB (second division) last Friday. Remekun scored only 2 points in 18 minutes. Remekun has relatively good stats this season 10.5ppg, 4.4rpg, 1.1apg and 1.3bpg. He is a naturalized Nigerian.
