We bring you last week's top former 49ers players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Casper Ware (5'10''-PG-90, graduated '12, plays pro in Poland) was the major contributor in a BM Slam Stal Ostrow Wlkp.'s victory against the 13th-ranked Spojnia Stargard (8-21) 88-79 in the Polish EBL on Saturday night. He scored 16 points and added 7 assists in 28 minutes. BM Slam Stal Ostrow Wlkp. (20-9) is placed fifth in the EBL. Ware's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Ware has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 17.6ppg, 2.0rpg, 4.6apg and 1.8spg.

   #2. James Ennis (6'7''-F/G-90, graduated '13, plays in the NBA) led Philadelphia 76ers to an easy victory against the Brooklyn Nets (42-40) crushing them 122-100 in the NBA in Tuesday night's game. He scored 11 points and added 3 assists. The Philadelphia 76ers have a solid 51-31 record this season. This year Ennis averages 5.6ppg and 3.6rpg in 22 games he played so far.

   #3. Eugene Phelps (6'6''-F-90, graduated '12, currently in Puerto Rico) led Atleticos de San German to a 2-point victory against the closely-ranked Piratas (12-8) 87-85 in the Puerto Rican BSN last Sunday. He scored 16 points, had 7 rebounds, passed 7 assists and added 3 blocks in 37 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Atleticos de San Germanis placed fourth in the BSN. This season Phelps has very high stats. He averages 19.2ppg, 10.8rpg, 3.7apg and 1.5bpg.

   #4. Nick Faust (6'6''-SF-93, graduated '16, plays pro in Hungary) could not help Atomeromu (15-15) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the second-placed Atomeromu (15-15) was edged 83-81 at home by the leading KTE-Duna in the Places 6-10 group. Faust was the top scorer with 22 points. He also added 7 rebounds; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Faust's third season in pro basketball. It was Atomeromu's first loss after three consecutive victories. There are only four games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game is very crucial. Faust has very impressive stats this year 15.5ppg, 6.1rpg, 2.2apg and 1.7spg in 30 games.

   #5. Evan Payne (6'1''-PG-93, graduated '17, plays in North Macedonia) was not able to help Kozuv (12-11) in their game last Wednesday. Despite Payne's very good performance the fifth-placed Kozuv (12-11) was defeated 87-78 in a derby game by the higher-ranked Blokotehna (#4) in the Places 1-6 group. He was the second best scorer with 17 points. Payne also added 7 rebounds and dished 4 assists (went 6 for 6 at the free throw line) in 33 minutes. This season Payne has very high stats. He averages 16.3ppg, 4.0rpg, 2.8apg and 1.8spg.

   #6. David Samuels (6'8''-F/C-91, graduated '15, currently in Spain), who plays in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) was not able to secure a victory for Estela (15-16) in their last game. Despite his good performance the sixth-placed Estela was badly defeated 84-66 on the road by the second-ranked Villarrobledo in the West group. Samuels recorded 14 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Samuels has relatively good stats this year 11.3ppg, 8.0rpg and 1.4spg in 12 games. He is a naturalized Jamaican.

   #7. Tyler Lamb (6'5''-G-91, graduated '15, plays pro in Thailand) contributed to a Mono Vampire's victory against the closely-ranked CLS Knights 79-71 in the ASEAN League on Wednesday night. He scored 9 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 36 minutes. This season Lamb has very high stats. He averages 15.6ppg, 3.7rpg, 4.1apg and 1.6spg. Lamb is a naturalized Thai.

   #8. Kyle Richardson (6'7''-PF-91, played in 2009-13, plays in Japan) led Koshigaya Alphas to a victory over the league outsider Kagoshima 89-80 in the Japanese B League D3 in Sunday night's game. Richardson was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 30 points and getting 16 rebounds. Richardson also added 3 assists. Richardson has very impressive stats this year 23.1ppg, 11.3rpg, 2.0apg and 1.2spg in 58 games.
