Best performed former University of Hawaii players in pro basketball in last week games

Every week we bring you a list of the top former Rainbow Warriors players who continue their career in pro basketball.


   #1. Experienced Matt Lojeski (6'6''-SF-85, graduated '07, plays pro in Greece) could not help Panathinaikos (16-14) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Panathinaikos lost 82-89 at home to the higher-ranked (#3) Real Madrid. Lojeski was the second best scorer with 16 points. He also added 3 assists in 27 minutes. This year Lojeski averages 6.5ppg and 2.2rpg in 25 games he played so far. He is a naturalized Belgian.

   #2. Christian Standhardinger (6'9''-F-89, graduated '14, plays in Philippines) was not able to help SM Beermen (7-4) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his very good performance SM Beermen was edged 92-90 on their home court in Manila by the leading Phoenix. Standhardinger recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 10 rebounds. Standhardinger has relatively good stats this season 13.5ppg, 7.6rpg and 1.4apg. He has also Filipino nationality.

   #3. Isaac Fotu (6'8''-F-93, graduated '15, currently in Germany) led Ratiopharm Ulm to an easy victory against the 13th-ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (12-17) crushing them 91-63 in the German BBL in Monday night's game. Fotu scored 11 points in just a mere 14 minutes. Ratiopharm Ulm (17-12) is placed sixth in the BBL. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. This year Fotu averages 7.7ppg and 4.2rpg in 20 games. He has also New Zealand passport.

   #4. Brandon Spearman (6'3''-G/F-91, graduated '14, plays pro in France) led Entente Orleans 45 to a victory against the 15th-ranked ALM Evreux (10-18) 86-76 in the French ProB (second division) last Tuesday. He recorded 14 points and blocked 2 shots. Entente Orleans 45 (20-8) is placed third in the ProB. It's Spearman's first season with the team. Spearman has relatively good stats this year 13.7ppg, 2.2rpg and 1.6apg. Spearman is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

   #5. Ozren Pavlovic (6'8''-F-94, graduated '13, plays in Czech Republic) was not able to secure a victory for BK Pardubice (20-16) in their last game. Despite Pavlovic's good performance the fifth-placed BK Pardubice (20-16) lost 91-102 on the road to the higher-ranked (#3) BK Olomoucko in the Places 1-8 group. He scored 12 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 23 minutes. Pavlovic has relatively good stats this year 11.7ppg, 6.4rpg and 1.7apg in 18 games.

   #6. Douglas Kurtz (7'0''-C-87, graduated '11, currently in Brazil), who plays in the Brazilian NBB couldn't help SKY/Basquete Cearense (8-18) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his good performance SKY/Basquete Cearense was edged 73-71 in Mogi das Cruzes by the much higher-ranked Mogi (#4). Kurtz scored 11 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Kurtz has relatively good stats this season 11.2ppg and 7.1rpg.

   #7. Garrett Nevels (6'2''-G-92, graduated '15, plays pro in Spain) contributed to a Delteco Gipuzkoa BC San Sebastian's surprising victory against the eighth-ranked Joventut 89-86 in the Spanish Liga Endesa last Saturday. He recorded 7 points in 26 minutes. Nevels has relatively good stats this year 11.3ppg, 4.2rpg, 2.0apg and 1.1spg in 28 games.

   #8. Bill Amis (6'9''-PF-87, graduated '11, plays in Belgium) helped Crelan Okapi Aalstar win their game against one of league's weakest teams Leuven Bears crushing them 94-72 in the Belgian Euromillions League on Friday night. Amis scored 7 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. This season Amis averages 3.8ppg, 4.7rpg and 1.4bpg.

   #9. Ido Flaisher (6'10''-C-98, graduated '18, currently in Israel) couldn't help Maccabi Ashdod/Be'er Tuvia in their game against Rishon in the Israeli Winner League. Flaisher recorded only 4 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 18 minutes. His team was crushed by 27 points 93-66. This year Flaisher averages 3.4ppg and 2.5rpg in 26 games.

   #10. Valdelicio Joaquim (6'10''-C-90, graduated '13, plays pro in France) was the major contributor in a Quimper UJAP's victory against the closely-ranked Paris 81-64 in the French ProB (second division) last Tuesday. He recorded 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Joaquim has relatively good stats this season 13.6ppg, 7.3rpg and 1.1apg.
