Best performed former University of Kansas State players in pro basketball in last week games

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Wildcats alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Jacob Pullen (6'1''-PG-89, graduated '11, plays pro in Croatia) led KK Cedevita Zagreb to a victory over the closely-ranked KK Vrijednosnice Osijek (12-10) 104-86 in the Croatian Premijer Liga last Wednesday. He was MVP of the game. Pullen recorded 30 points (!!!) and grabbed 4 rebounds in 23 minutes. KK Cedevita Zagrebis placed second in the Premijer Liga. Pullen has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 18.0ppg, 3.5rpg, 2.5apg and 2.0spg in two games he played so far. Pullen is a naturalized Georgian.

   #2. Experienced Jeremiah Massey (6'8''-PF-82, graduated '05, plays in Argentina) contributed to an Olimpico de La Banda's surprising victory against the fifth-ranked Gimnasia (20-13) 95-93 in the Argentinian La Liga on Sunday night. Massey recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 4 assists. Olimpico de La Banda (15-18) is placed 12th in the La Liga. Massey has relatively good stats this season 14.3ppg, 5.3rpg, 1.8apg and 1.5spg. He is a naturalized North Macedonian.

   #3. Wesley Iwundu (6'7''-F-94, graduated '17, currently in the NBA), who plays in the NBA could not help the Orlando Magic (42-40) in their last game. Despite his good performance the Orlando Magic (42-40) was badly defeated 115-96 on the road by the Toronto Raptors. Iwundu was the second best scorer with 12 points (was perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line) in just a mere 12 minutes. This year Iwundu averages 5.0ppg, 2.6rpg and 1.1apg in 73 games.

   #4. Lance Harris (6'6''-F/G-84, graduated '07, plays pro in Slovenia) was the major contributor in Primorska's victory against the sixth-ranked Helios Suns (1-9) 68-67 in the Slovenian Liga Nova KBM last Saturday. He scored 11 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Sixt Primorska Koper (10-0) is placed first in Places 1-6 group. So far his team won all ten games in the Second Stage. There are only two games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game will be critical. Harris has relatively good stats this season 11.4ppg, 2.9rpg and 1.8apg.

   #5. Henry Walker (6'6''-G/F-87, graduated '08, plays in Japan) was not able to help Shiga L-Stars in their game against Ryukyu GK (40-20) in the Japanese B League, despite his very good performance last Saturday. Walker was the top scorer with 23 points. He also added 8 rebounds in 38 minutes. But the fifth-placed Shiga L-Stars (18-42) lost 63-69 in Okinawa to the leading Ryukyu GK in the West group. It was Shiga L-Stars' third consecutive loss in a row. The Regular Season already ended. Walker has very impressive stats this year 21.5ppg, 7.4rpg, 4.6apg and 1.8spg in 17 games.

   #6. Thomas Gipson (6'7''-F-93, graduated '15, currently in Finland) was the main contributor in Kouvot's victory against the closely-ranked Tampereen Pyrinto 91-83 in the Finnish Korisliiga in Monday night's game. Gipson was MVP of the game. He scored 21 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 3 assists. This season Gipson has very high stats. He averages 15.5ppg, 7.3rpg and 2.4apg.

   #7. Denis Clemente (6'0''-PG-86, graduated '10, plays pro in Puerto Rico) was not able to secure a victory for Capitanes de Arecibo in their game against Cariduros in the Puerto Rican BSN, despite his good performance last Thursday. He scored 10 points and added 6 passes in 19 minutes. But his team lost 92-96. Clemente has relatively good stats this year 11.7ppg, 2.2rpg and 5.5apg in 15 games. He is a naturalized Puerto Rican.

   #8. Jamar Samuels (6'7''-F-89, graduated '12, plays in Israel) managed to help Maccabi Kiryat Motzkin to win against the closely-ranked H.Galilee 55-53 in the Israeli National League (second division) on Tuesday night. He recorded only 3 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Samuels has relatively good stats this season 12.2ppg, 6.8rpg, 1.7apg and 1.4spg.

   #9. Stephen Hurt (6'11''-F-93, graduated '16, currently in Turkey) couldn't help Yalova Bld in their game against OGM Orman in the Turkish TBL (second division), despite his good performance last Friday. Hurt had a double-double by scoring 10 points and getting 11 rebounds. He also added 2 blocks in 31 minutes. But his team lost 66-70. Hurt has relatively good stats this year 14.5ppg, 8.4rpg and 1.7apg in 15 games.
