Top The University of Washington alumni playing currently pro basketball

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Huskies alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Tony Wroten (6'6''-G-93, graduated '12, plays pro in Estonia) led his Estonian team Kalev/Cramo to a victory over the closely-ranked Zenit (14-11) 96-80 in the VTB United League on Wednesday night. He was MVP of the game. Wroten scored 31 points (!!!), had 8 rebounds and dished 8 assists in 28 minutes. BC Kalev/Cramo Tallinn (14-12) is placed seventh in the VTB United League. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended in the VTB United League. Wroten has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 15.7ppg, 2.8rpg, 5.7apg and 1.4spg.

   #2. Experienced Justin Dentmon (6'0''-PG-85, graduated '09, plays in Lebanon) was the main contributor in a Beirut Club's victory against the closely-ranked Homentmen (12-4) 96-91 in a derby game in the Lebanese LBL in Tuesday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Dentmon recorded 27 points (!!!) and added 4 passes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Beirut Club (12-4) is placed fourth in the LBL. It was his team's eighth consecutive victory in a row. Dentmon has very impressive stats this year 18.3ppg, 1.3rpg, 3.0apg and 1.3spg in three games he played so far.

   #3. Terrence Ross (6'7''-G-91, graduated '12, currently in the NBA), who plays in the NBA could not help the Orlando Magic (42-40) in their game last Friday. Despite Ross' very good performance the Orlando Magic (42-40) was defeated 98-93 on the road by the Toronto Raptors. He was the top scorer with 24 points in 32 minutes. This season Ross has very high stats. He averages 15.0ppg, 3.5rpg and 1.7apg.

   #4. Malik Dime (6'9''-F/C-92, graduated '17, plays pro in Bulgaria) was the major contributor in Rilski's victory against the closely-ranked Spartak Pleven (10-14) 93-88 in the Bulgarian NBL on Thursday night. Dime had a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 11 rebounds; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. Rilski Sportist Samokov (13-11) is placed fifth in the NBL. Dime's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Dime has relatively good stats this year 14.6ppg, 8.7rpg and 2.6bpg in 15 games. He is a naturalized Senegalese.

   #5. Robert Upshaw (7'0''-C-94, graduated '15, plays in Poland) contributed to a 2-point Asseco Arka Gdynia's victory against the league outsider Trefl (6-23) 90-88 in the Polish EBL in Wednesday night's game. He recorded 7 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 18 minutes. Asseco Arka Gdynia (25-4) is placed first in the EBL. Upshaw's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. This season Upshaw averages 8.8ppg, 5.5rpg and 1.5bpg.

   #6. Scott Suggs (6'6''-F/G-89, graduated '13, currently in Greece) contributed to a 1-point Kymis' victory against the closely-ranked Lavrio 89-88 in the Greek A1 last Saturday. Suggs recorded 8 points. Suggs has relatively good stats this year 13.4ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.9apg in 25 games.

   #7. Desmond Simmons (6'6''-F-92, played in 2010-14, plays pro in Portugal) was not able to help Lusitania (13-15) in their game last Saturday. Despite Simmons' good performance the fifth-placed Lusitania was defeated 85-79 at home by the higher-ranked FC Porto (#3) in the Places 1-6 group. He scored 10 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 33 minutes. Simmons has relatively good stats this season 12.8ppg, 6.9rpg, 2.0apg and 1.1spg.

   #8. Matthew Bryan-Amaning (6'9''-F-88, graduated '11, plays in United Kingdom) contributed to a London CR's victory against the closely-ranked Glasgow Rocks 78-70 in the British BBL in Saturday night's game. Bryan-Amaning scored 6 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Bryan-Amaning has very impressive stats this year 16.7ppg, 6.5rpg, 1.7apg and 1.1spg in 27 games. He has also British passport.

   #9. Joe Wolfinger (7'1''-C-85, played in 2005-09, currently in Japan) helped Tokyo Cinq Reves win their game against the closely-ranked Iwate Big Bulls 80-71 in the Japanese B League D3 last Saturday. Wolfinger scored 7 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 17 minutes. Wolfinger has relatively good stats this season 14.4ppg, 11.1rpg and 1.6apg.

   #10. Robert Jones (6'7''-F-84, graduated '06, plays pro in Italy) was not able to secure a victory for Zeus EG Rieti (17-11) in their last game. Despite Jones' very good performance the fifth-placed Zeus EG Rieti was edged 73-70 in Treviglio by the higher-ranked (#3) Remer TVG in the West group. He was the top scorer with 16 points. Jones also added 7 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Jones has very impressive stats this year 16.8ppg, 7.4rpg, 2.1apg and 1.1spg in 28 games. He is a naturalized Guinean.
