Every week we bring you a list of the top former Panthers players who continue their career in pro basketball.


   #1. Steven Adams (7'0''-C/F-93, graduated '13, plays pro in the NBA) could not help the Oklahoma City Thunder (49-33) in their game last Sunday. Despite his very good performance the Oklahoma City Thunder (49-33) was defeated 104-99 on the road by the Portland Trail Blazers. Adams recorded 17 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 36 minutes. It's Adams' sixth season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Adams averages 13.9ppg, 9.5rpg, 1.5apg and 1.5spg.

   #2. Talib Zanna (6'9''-F/C-90, graduated '14, plays in Israel) was not able to help Ironi Hai Motors Nes-Ziona (12-15) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Ironi Hai Motors Nes-Ziona was crushed 100-73 in Jerusalem by the second-ranked Hapoel. Zanna was the top scorer with 18 points. He also added 8 rebounds. It was Ironi Hai Motors Nes-Ziona's first loss after three consecutive victories. Zanna has relatively good stats this year 13.1ppg, 7.1rpg and 1.2spg in 14 games he played so far.

   #3. DeJuan Blair (6'7''-F/C-89, graduated '09, currently in Uruguay) led Malvin to a victory over the fifth-ranked Urunday Universitario (2-3) 74-68 in a derby game in the Uruguayan LUB last Tuesday. He was MVP of the game. Blair recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 14 rebounds. He also added 3 assists in 31 minutes. It was his first game for Malvin this season. His team is placed first in Places 1-6 group. It was his team's eighth consecutive victory in a row.

   #4. Aron Nwankwo (6'8''-F-92, graduated '15, plays pro in Ukraine) contributed to a Kyiv Basket's victory against the league leader Zaporizhye (19-9) 89-81 in the Ukrainian Superleague on Friday night. He recorded 13 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. BC Kyiv Basket (28-4) is placed second in the Superleague. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This year Nwankwo averages 7.1ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.5apg in 20 games.

   #5. Michael Young (6'9''-F-94, graduated '17, plays in France) was not able to secure a victory for Cholet Basket (27-1) in their game last Saturday. Despite Young's very good performance the league leader Cholet Basket was defeated 84-76 in Limoges by the much lower-ranked CSP Elite (#8). He was the top scorer with 15 points in a mere 18 minutes. It's Young's first season with the team. Young has relatively good stats this year 13.8ppg, 4.4rpg and 1.4apg.

   #6. Gary McGhee (6'10''-C-88, graduated '11, currently in Greece) managed to help Aris Thessaloniki in a victory against one of league's weakest teams Kymis crushing them 95-60 in the Greek A1 last Saturday. McGhee scored 5 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. This year he averages 7.3ppg and 7.0rpg in 24 games.

   #7. Experienced Antonio Graves (6'3''-G-85, graduated '07, plays pro in Turkey) was the main contributor in an OGM Orman's victory against one of league's weakest teams Yalova Bld 70-66 in the Turkish TBL (second division) on Friday night. He was MVP of the game. Graves recorded 18 points and added 4 passes in 32 minutes. He has relatively good stats this season 15.0ppg, 2.3rpg and 3.6apg.

   #8. Tyrell Biggs (6'8''-F-86, graduated '09, plays in Cyprus) helped AEK Larnaca win their game against the closely-ranked Keravnos 72-55 in the Cypriot Division A in Friday night's game. He recorded only 3 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. This year Biggs averages 8.6ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.1apg in 24 games. He is a naturalized Cypriot.
