Best performed former University of Miami, Florida players in pro basketball in last week games

We bring you last week's top former Hurricanes players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Shane Larkin (5'11''-PG-92, graduated '13, plays pro in Turkey) could not help Anadolu Efes (21-9) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Anadolu Efes was edged 74-72 at home by the lower-ranked (#5) FC Barcelona. Larkin was the top scorer with 18 points in 24 minutes. It's Larkin's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 10.4ppg, 2.1rpg and 3.0apg in 30 games he played so far.

   #2. Rion Brown (6'6''-SG-91, graduated '14, plays in Greece) was not able to help Promitheas (15-9) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance Promitheas was defeated 87-76 on the road by the leading Panathinaikos. Brown was the top scorer with 19 points. He also added 4 passes. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Brown's first season with the team. Brown has relatively good stats this year 10.9ppg, 3.0rpg and 2.3apg.

   #3. Kenny Kadji (6'11''-F-88, graduated '13, currently in Turkey) was the major contributor in Tofas' victory against the closely-ranked Gaziantep (14-10) 77-67 in the Turkish BSL in Saturday night's game. Kadji scored 15 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 32 minutes. Tofas Bursa (14-13) is placed third in the BSL. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Kadji has relatively good stats this year 11.8ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.3apg in 23 games.

   #4. Julian Gamble (6'10''-F/C-89, graduated '13, plays pro in France) led JSF Nanterre to a victory against the 14th-ranked Le Mans (10-18) 84-75 in the French Jeep ELITE ProA last Saturday. He scored 13 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. JSF Nanterre (18-9) is placed third in the Jeep ELITE ProA. Gamble has relatively good stats this season 10.1ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.3bpg.

   #5. DeQuan Jones (6'8''-F-90, graduated '12, plays in Israel) was not able to secure a victory for Hapoel Unet Holon in their game against Banco di Srd (5-1) in the FIBA Europe Cup. Jones scored 9 points and blocked 2 shots in 32 minutes. But Hapoel Unet Holon was crushed 105-75 in Sassari by the leading Banco di Srd. It's Jones' first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 12.2ppg, 4.3rpg and 1.2bpg in six games.

   #6. Experienced Brian Asbury (6'7''-PF-86, graduated '09, currently in Finland) contributed to Kouvot's victory against the closely-ranked Tampereen Pyrinto 93-85 in the Finnish Korisliiga in Friday night's game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and getting 10 rebounds. Asbury also added 5 assists and 2 blocks. He has individually a very good season with high stats. Asbury averages 19.2ppg, 6.6rpg, 2.3apg and 1.5spg.

   #7. Tonye Jekiri (7'0''-C-94, graduated '16, plays pro in Turkey) faced previously mentioned Kenny Kadji in the Turkish BSL last game. Jekiri couldn't help Gaziantep Basketbol in their game against Tofas. He scored 8 points and added 3 passes in 20 minutes. His team lost 67-77. Jekiri has relatively good stats this year 12.5ppg, 10.8rpg, 2.3apg and 1.1spg in 24 games.

   #8. Gary Hamilton (6'10''-C/F-84, graduated '06, plays in Japan) contributed to a Bambitious Nara's victory against the third-ranked Dragonflies 90-79 in the Japanese B2 League on Sunday night. He recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 16 rebounds. Hamilton also added 7 assists and 3 steals. He has relatively good stats this season 11.1ppg, 13.5rpg, 7.3apg and 1.3spg.

   #9. Ivan Cruz Uceda (6'10''-C/F-91, graduated '16, currently in Spain) helped RETAbet BB win their game against the 15th-ranked Melilla Baloncesto 62-59 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) in Sunday night's game. He recorded 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 18 minutes. This year Cruz Uceda averages 9.2ppg and 5.4rpg in 29 games.

   #10. Bruce Brown (6'5''-G-96, graduated '18, plays pro in the NBA) couldn't help the Detroit Pistons in their game against the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA. He scored 5 points. His team were crushed by 21 points 120-99 in the NBA. This season Brown averages 4.3ppg, 2.5rpg and 1.2apg.
