Top Mississippi State University alumni playing currently pro basketball

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Bulldogs alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Experienced Charles Rhodes (6'8''-F/C-85, graduated '08, plays pro in South Korea) could not help one of league's weakest teams Inchon ET Land Elephants (35-19) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Inchon ET Land Elephants were edged 92-91 on the road by the leading Mobis Phoebus. Rhodes had a double-double by scoring 33 points and getting 13 rebounds in 34 minutes. It was Inchon ET Land Elephants' fifth consecutive loss in a row. It's Rhodes' first season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Rhodes averages 19.0ppg, 9.2rpg, 1.4apg and 1.1bpg in 33 games he played so far.

   #2. Arnett Moultrie (6'10''-F/C-90, graduated '12, plays in Estonia) led his Estonian team Kalev/Cramo to a victory over one of league's weakest teams Parma (5-20) crushing them 105-75 in the VTB United League last Sunday. Moultrie was MVP of the game. He scored 22 points and grabbed 7 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). BC Kalev/Cramo Tallinn (12-12) is placed eighth in the VTB United League. There are only two games left until the end of the VTB United League Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Moultrie's first season with the team. This year Moultrie has very high stats. He averages 20.0ppg and 7.3rpg.

   #3. Dee Bost (6'2''-G-89, graduated '12, currently in France) was the major contributor in a 3-point AS Monaco Basket's victory against the closely-ranked JDA Dijon (16-11) 84-81 in the French Jeep ELITE ProA on Sunday night. He scored 14 points and added 4 assists in 28 minutes. AS Monaco Basket (18-9) is placed second in the Jeep ELITE ProA. It was his team's tenth consecutive victory in a row. Bost has relatively good stats this year 10.9ppg, 4.4rpg, 6.9apg and 1.1spg in seven games. He is a naturalized Bulgarian.

   #4. Michal Ignerski (6'10''-F/C-80, graduated '03, plays pro in Poland) was not able to help Anwil Wloclawek (20-8) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his good performance Anwil Wloclawek was edged 95-92 in Starogard Gdanski by the lower-ranked Polpharma (#10). Ignerski recorded 11 points and added 5 passes. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. This season Ignerski averages 8.0ppg, 2.8rpg and 2.5apg.

   #5. Roquez Johnson (6'7''-F/C-92, graduated '15, plays in Argentina) was not able to secure a victory for Boca Juniors (15-14) in their game against La Union (15-16) in the Argentinian La Liga, despite his very good performance on Saturday night. He recorded 14 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 23 minutes. But Boca Juniors lost 84-90 in Formosa to the lower-ranked (#11) La Union. It's Johnson's first season with the team. This year Johnson averages 7.5ppg and 5.4rpg in 30 games.

   #6. Jarvis Varnado (6'9''-C-88, graduated '10, currently in France) couldn't help FOS Provence Basket in their game against Pau-Lacq-Orthez in the French Jeep ELITE ProA. Despite his very good performance in Friday night's game Varnado was the top scorer with 22 points. He also added 7 rebounds, passed 4 assists and added 2 blocks. This season Varnado averages 9.7ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.5bpg.

   #7. Gavin Ware (6'9''-C/F-93, graduated '16, plays pro in France) faced previously mentioned Dee Bost in the French Jeep ELITE ProA last game. Ware couldn't help one of league's weakest teams JDA Dijon Bourgogne in their game against Monaco. He scored 7 points in 22 minutes. His team was edged 84-81. Ware has relatively good stats this year 13.4ppg and 5.1rpg in 27 games.

   #8. Winsome Frazier (6'4''-G-82, graduated '05, plays in Argentina) couldn't help Quilmes MP in their game against Comunicaciones in the Argentinian La Liga. Despite his very good performance in Sunday night's game Frazier was the top scorer with 14 points. He also added 6 rebounds. This season Frazier has very high stats. He averages 16.2ppg, 5.8rpg, 1.5apg and 2.1spg.

   #9. Travis Daniels (6'8''-F-92, graduated '16, currently in Greece) contributed to a 3-point Cretan Kings' victory against the seventh-ranked Ifestos 80-77 in the Greek A1 on Saturday night. He scored 11 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 22 minutes. This year Daniels averages 8.5ppg, 6.5rpg and 1.1apg in 24 games.

   #10. Fred Thomas (6'5''-F-93, graduated '16, plays pro in United Kingdom) was the main contributor in a Bristol Academy Flyers' victory against the tenth-ranked Manchester Giants 74-64 in the British BBL in Saturday night's game. Thomas was MVP of the game. He scored 17 points and blocked 2 shots. This season Thomas has very high stats. He averages 16.2ppg, 6.1rpg, 2.1apg and 1.4spg.
