We bring you last week's top former Runnin'Rebels players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Tyrell Green (6'7''-PF-95, college: UNLV, graduated '17, plays pro in Hungary) could not help ZTE KK (12-16) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the fifth-placed ZTE KK (12-16) lost 87-91 at home to the second-ranked KTE-Duna in the Places 6-10 group. Green was the top scorer with 25 points. He also added 6 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) in 33 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Green's second season in pro basketball. It was ZTE KK's sixth consecutive loss in a row. Green has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 15.8ppg and 4.0rpg in nine games he played so far.

   #2. Experienced Rene Rougeau (6'6''-F/G-86, college: UNLV, graduated '09, plays in Finland) was the major contributor in Kauhajoki's victory against the seventh-ranked Helsinki Seagulls (18-22) 83-65 in the Finnish Korisliiga last Saturday. Rougeau recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 12 rebounds. He also added 8 assists, 3 blocks and 4 steals (was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line). Karhu Kauhajoki (28-12) is placed second in the Korisliiga. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This season Rougeau has very high stats. He averages 15.3ppg, 8.0rpg, 3.6apg, 1.5bpg and 1.9spg.

   #3. Joel Anthony (6'9''-C-82, college: UNLV, graduated '07, currently in Argentina) led San Lorenzo to an easy victory against the 13th-ranked Olimpico de La Banda (13-17) crushing them 102-74 in the Argentinian La Liga on Saturday night. He recorded 13 points, 4 rebounds and 2 blocks in a mere 18 minutes. San Lorenzo de Almagra (23-3) is placed first in the La Liga. It's Anthony's first season with the team. This year Anthony averages 7.2ppg, 5.8rpg and 1.2bpg in 25 games.

   #4. Christian Jones (6'7''-F-93, college: UNLV, graduated '17, plays pro in Ukraine) was not able to help Khimik (19-9) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his good performance Khimik was badly defeated 93-77 on the road by the lower-ranked Dnipro (#4). Jones recorded 11 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. It's Jones' first season with the team. This year he has very high stats. Jones averages 15.5ppg, 6.1rpg, 2.7apg and 1.2spg.

   #5. Derrick Jones Jr. (6'7''-F-97, college: UNLV, graduated '16, plays in the NBA) was not able to secure a victory for the Miami Heat (39-43) in their game against the Brooklyn Nets (42-40) in the NBA, despite his very good performance on Wednesday night. Jones Jr. scored 13 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 31 minutes. But the Miami Heat (39-43) was badly defeated 113-94 on their home court in Miami by the Nets. The Regular Season already ended in the NBA. This year Jones Jr. averages 7.0ppg and 4.0rpg in 60 games.

   #6. Jerel Blassingame (5'9''-PG-81, college: UNLV, graduated '05, currently in France) couldn't help Sharks Antibes in their game against Le Mans in the French Jeep ELITE ProA. Despite his very good performance in Wednesday night's game He was the second best scorer with 14 points. Blassingame also added made 7 passes and 3 steals. This season Blassingame averages 6.3ppg, 1.8rpg and 3.8apg.

   #7. Khem Birch (6'10''-C-92, college: UNLV, graduated '14, plays pro in the NBA) contributed to a 3-point Orlando Magic's victory against the Toronto Raptors 104-101 in the NBA in Saturday night's game. Birch recorded 6 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 15 minutes. This year Birch averages 4.8ppg and 3.9rpg in 52 games.

   #8. Gaston Essengue (6'8''-C-83, college: UNLV, graduated '07, plays in Argentina) led Club Atletico Platense Florida to a victory over the eighth-ranked Parque Sur 75-68 in the Argentinian La Liga Argentina (second division) last Wednesday. He was MVP of the game. Essengue scored 18 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Essengue has relatively good stats this season 14.5ppg, 5.7rpg and 1.2apg.

   #9. Jordan Johnson (5'11''-PG-95, college: UNLV, graduated '18, currently in the NBA G League) contributed to an easy victory against the Long Island Nets 129-112 in the NBA G League on Friday night. Johnson scored 14 points and added 6 assists in 30 minutes. This year Johnson averages 7.5ppg, 2.2rpg and 4.5apg in 34 games. Worth to mention he played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

   #10. Carlos Lopez-Sosa (6'10''-F-90, college: UNLV, graduated '14, plays pro in Puerto Rico) couldn't help Capitanes de Arecibo in their game against Brujos in the Puerto Rican BSN. He recorded 5 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. His team was badly defeated by 20 points 88-68. This season Lopez-Sosa averages 9.1ppg, 5.7rpg, 1.5apg and 1.7bpg.
