We bring you last week's top former Huskies players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Kemba Walker (6'1''-PG-90, college: Connecticut, graduated '11, plays pro in the NBA) could not help the Charlotte Hornets (39-43) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the Charlotte Hornets (39-43) lost 114-122 on the road to the Orlando Magic. Walker was the top scorer with 43 points. He also added 5 passes (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) in 40 minutes. It was Hornets' first loss after four consecutive victories. The Regular Season already ended in the NBA. It's Walker's eighth season with the team. Walker has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 25.6ppg, 4.4rpg, 5.9apg and 1.2spg in 82 games he played so far.

   #2. Andre Drummond (6'10''-C-93, college: Connecticut, graduated '12, plays in the NBA) led Detroit Pistons to an easy victory against the New York Knicks (17-65) crushing them 115-89 in the NBA last Wednesday. Drummond recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 18 rebounds. He also added 3 assists. The Detroit Pistons have 41-41 record this season. There are only two games left until the end of the NBA Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Drummond's seventh year with the team. This season Drummond has very high stats. He averages 17.3ppg, 15.6rpg, 1.4apg, 1.7bpg and 1.7spg.

   #3. Jeremy Lamb (6'5''-SG-92, college: Connecticut, graduated '12, currently in the NBA) is a teammate of previously mentioned Kemba Walker and both played together in the last NBA game. Lamb, who plays in the NBA was not able to help the Charlotte Hornets (39-43) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the Charlotte Hornets (39-43) lost 114-122 in Orlando to the Magic. Lamb was the second best scorer with 22 points. He also added 8 rebounds (went 6 for 6 at the free throw line) in 32 minutes. It's Lamb's fourth season with the team. Lamb has very impressive stats this year 15.3ppg, 5.5rpg, 2.2apg and 1.1spg in 79 games.

   #4. Gavin Edwards (6'9''-F/C-88, college: Connecticut, graduated '10, plays pro in Japan) led Chiba Jets to a 2-point victory over the third-ranked Toyota Alvark (41-16) 59-57 in the Japanese B League in Saturday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Edwards recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 13 rebounds. He also added 6 assists. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group East. Chiba Jets (50-8) are placed first. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Edwards has relatively good stats this season 13.6ppg, 7.8rpg and 3.4apg.

   #5. Shabazz Napier (6'1''-PG-91, college: Connecticut, graduated '14, plays in the NBA) was the major contributor in a Brooklyn Nets' victory against the Miami Heat (39-43) 113-94 in the NBA last Wednesday. Napier scored 20 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 30 minutes. The Brooklyn Nets have 42-40 record this season. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the NBA Regular Season. So now every game will be important. It's Napier's first year with the team. He has relatively good stats this season 9.5ppg, 1.8rpg and 2.5apg in 57 games. Napier is a naturalized Puerto Rican.

   #6. Experienced Hilton Armstrong (6'11''-C-84, college: Connecticut, graduated '06, currently in Japan) led Nagoya Diamond Dolphins to a victory over the fifth-ranked Shiga L-Stars crushing them 92-65 in the Japanese B League on Sunday night. Armstrong was MVP of the game. He recorded 25 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Armstrong has relatively good stats this season 13.5ppg, 11.6rpg, 1.7apg and 1.9bpg.

   #7. Rudy Gay (6'8''-F/G-86, college: Connecticut, graduated '06, plays pro in the NBA) contributed to a San Antonio Spurs' victory against the Denver Nuggets 101-96 in the NBA in Saturday night's game. Gay recorded 14 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 27 minutes. He has very impressive stats this year 13.6ppg, 6.8rpg and 2.6apg in 71 games.

   #8. Jerome Dyson (6'3''-SG-87, college: Connecticut, graduated '10, plays in Israel) was not able to secure a victory for Bnei Hertzeliya (6-21) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Dyson's very good performance the bottom-ranked Bnei Hertzeliya was badly defeated 90-73 in Tel-Aviv by the higher-ranked Hapoel (#6). He was the top scorer with 18 points. This season Dyson has very high stats. He averages 16.9ppg, 3.4rpg, 4.6apg and 1.1spg.

   #9. Sterling Gibbs (6'2''-G-93, college: Connecticut, graduated '16, currently in France) was the main contributor in Nantes' victory against the 16th-ranked Aix-Maurienne 87-78 in the French ProB (second division) on Friday night. He was MVP of the game. Gibbs scored 24 points and added 4 passes in 27 minutes. He has very impressive stats this year 16.3ppg, 3.0rpg, 3.9apg and 1.1spg in nine games.

   #10. Jeff Adrien (6'7''-F-86, college: Connecticut, graduated '09, plays pro in Israel) is a teammate of previously mentioned Jerome Dyson. But that was another game of his team in Israeli Winner League which we would like to mention. Adrien couldn't help Bnei Hertzeliya (6-21) in their last game on Monday. Despite his good performance the bottom-ranked Bnei Hertzeliya was defeated 97-86 at home by the higher-ranked Maccabi Ashdod (#9). Adrien scored 10 points, had 6 rebounds and dished 3 assists. He has relatively good stats this season 12.9ppg, 8.2rpg and 1.6apg.
