Here is the weekly review of the top performing Crusaders alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Alec Peters (6'9''-F-95, graduated '17, plays pro in Russia) contributed to an easy victory against the sixth-ranked Astana (14-10) 91-72 in the VTB United League in Thursday night's game. He scored 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 19 minutes. CSKA Moscow (22-4) is placed first in the VTB United League. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended in the VTB United League. This year Peters averages 6.5ppg and 2.8rpg in 19 games he played so far.

   #2. Experienced Miguel Ali Berdiel (6'6''-G-83, graduated '06, plays in Puerto Rico) led Brujos de Guayama to an easy victory against the sixth-ranked Capitanes (7-10) crushing them 88-68 in the Puerto Rican BSN last Saturday. Berdiel recorded 16 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists and made 2 blocks. Brujos de Guayama (10-6) is placed second in the BSN. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Berdiel has relatively good stats this season 14.1ppg, 4.6rpg, 3.9apg and 1.4spg.

   #3. Cory Johnson (6'8''-F/C-88, graduated '11, currently in Japan), who plays in the Japanese B2 League could not help Ehime Orange Vikings (20-38) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the fourth-placed Ehime Orange Vikings (20-38) were badly defeated 84-68 on the road by the second-ranked Shimane Magic in the West group. Johnson was the top scorer with 22 points. He also added 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals in 40 minutes. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Johnson's first season with the team. Johnson has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 21.3ppg, 10.1rpg, 2.6apg and 1.2spg in 26 games.

   #4. Jordan Coleman (6'5''-G-92, graduated '14, plays pro in Australia) was not able to help Hume City Broncos (2-4) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance the sixth-placed Hume City Broncos (2-4) were defeated 105-96 in McKinnon by the leading Cougars in the Big V group. Coleman was the second best scorer with 17 points. He also added 3 assists. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. This year Coleman has very high stats. He averages 18.8ppg, 5.8rpg, 2.2apg and 1.2spg.

   #5. Shawn Huff (6'6''-SF-84, graduated '08, plays in Germany) managed to help Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt in a victory against the league outsider Science City Jena (5-23) 78-72 in the German BBL last Friday. He recorded only 4 points in 23 minutes. Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt (11-16) is placed 12th in the BBL. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. This year Huff averages 7.2ppg and 3.2rpg in 26 games.

   #6. Dan Oppland (6'8''-F-84, graduated '06, currently in Germany) led MLP Academics Heidelberg to an easy victory against the seventh-ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule crushing them 89-64 in the German ProA (second division) on Friday night. He scored 12 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Oppland has relatively good stats this season 10.4ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.7apg.

   #7. Ryan Broekhoff (6'6''-F-90, graduated '13, plays pro in the NBA) was not able to secure a victory for the Dallas Mavericks in their game against the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA. Broekhoff cannot count it as his best performance. He scored only 3 points in 14 minutes. His team lost 94-105 in the NBA. This year Broekhoff averages 4.1ppg and 1.5rpg in 41 games. He has also Dutch passport.

   #8. Mohamed Kone (6'11''-C-81, graduated '06, plays in France) led Jean D'Arc Vichy Clermont Metropole to a victory against the ninth-ranked ADA Blois 84-73 in the French ProB (second division) last Friday. Kone recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting 10 rebounds. This season Kone averages 8.7ppg, 8.5rpg, 1.1apg and 1.1spg. He has also French citizenship.

   #9. Vashil Fernandez (6'10''-C-92, graduated '16, currently in Spain) was the major contributor in Marin's victory against the eighth-ranked Girona Basquet 82-72 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) on Sunday night. Fernandez scored 16 points, had 8 rebounds and made 3 blocks in 28 minutes. This year Fernandez averages 8.5ppg, 6.8rpg and 2.1bpg in 27 games. He is a naturalized Jamaican.

   #10. Tevonn Walker (6'2''-G-93, graduated '18, plays pro in Germany) couldn't help Hamburg (19-11) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite his good performance Hamburg was defeated 94-79 on the opponent's court by the lower-ranked Rostock (#5). Walker was the top scorer with 14 points. Walker has relatively good stats this season 10.2ppg, 3.0rpg, 1.2apg and 1.1spg.
