Every week we bring you a list of the top former Demon Deacons players who continue their career in pro basketball.


   #1. John Collins (6'10''-PF-97, graduated '17, plays pro in the NBA) could not help the Atlanta Hawks (29-53) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the Atlanta Hawks (29-53) were edged 135-134 on the road by the Indiana Pacers. Collins had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 25 rebounds. He also added 6 assists in 36 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Collins' second season in pro basketball. It was Hawks' third consecutive loss in a row. The Regular Season already ended in the NBA. Collins has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 19.5ppg, 9.8rpg and 2.0apg in 61 games he played so far. Collins is a naturalized Virgin Islander.

   #2. Experienced Chris Paul (6'0''-PG-85, graduated '05, plays in the NBA) was not able to help the Houston Rockets (53-29) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite Paul's very good performance the Houston Rockets (53-29) were edged 112-111 in Oklahoma City by the Thunder. He was the second best scorer with 24 points. Paul also added 8 rebounds and dished 6 assists. There are only four games left until the end of the NBA Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This season Paul has very high stats. He averages 15.6ppg, 4.6rpg, 8.2apg and 2.0spg.

   #3. Al-Farouq Aminu (6'9''-F-90, graduated '10, currently in the NBA) was the major contributor in a Portland Trail Blazers' victory against the Denver Nuggets (54-28) 115-108 in the NBA on Sunday night. Aminu had a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 11 rebounds in 27 minutes. The Portland Trail Blazers have a solid 53-29 record this season. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the NBA Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. It's Aminu's fourth year with the team. He has relatively good stats this season 9.4ppg, 7.5rpg and 1.3apg in 81 games. Aminu is a naturalized Nigerian.

   #4. C.J. Harris (6'3''-SG-91, graduated '13, plays pro in France) led Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez to a 1-point victory against one of league's weakest teams Provence Basket (8-19) 91-90 in the French Jeep ELITE ProA in Friday night's game. Harris scored 23 points and added 4 assists. Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez (17-9) is placed fourth in the Jeep ELITE ProA. This season Harris has very high stats. He averages 16.7ppg, 2.5rpg and 3.3apg.

   #5. Konstantinos Mitoglou (6'10''-PF-96, graduated '18, plays in Greece) led Panathinaikos to an easy victory against the fifth-ranked PAOK (15-9) crushing them 89-51 in the Greek A1 last Sunday. He recorded 11 points in only a mere 13 minutes. Panathinaikos Superfoods Athens (19-1) is placed first in the A1. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. This year Mitoglou averages 6.8ppg and 4.6rpg in 19 games.

   #6. Ishmael Smith (6'0''-PG-88, graduated '10, currently in the NBA) led Detroit Pistons to a victory over the Memphis Grizzlies 100-93 in the NBA on Tuesday night. He was MVP of the game. Smith scored 22 points and added 4 assists. Smith has relatively good stats this season 8.9ppg, 2.6rpg and 3.6apg.

   #7. James Johnson (6'9''-F-87, graduated '09, plays pro in the NBA) was not able to secure a victory for the Miami Heat (39-43) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the Miami Heat lost 109-117 at home to the Toronto Raptors. Johnson was the second best scorer with 18 points. He also added 4 rebounds and 5 assists in 31 minutes. Johnson has relatively good stats this year 7.8ppg, 3.2rpg and 2.5apg in 55 games.

   #8. Terrence Thompson (6'7''-F-94, graduated '18, plays in Georgia) couldn't help Kutaisi in their last game on Friday. Despite his very good performance the league leader Kutaisi was defeated 97-89 on the opponent's court by the lower-ranked Batumi (#7). Thompson recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 16 rebounds. Thompson has relatively good stats this season 11.1ppg, 12.3rpg, 1.1apg and 1.4spg.

   #9. Coron Williams (6'1''-PG-89, graduated '14, currently in Argentina) contributed to a La Union's victory against the closely-ranked Boca Juniors 90-84 in the Argentinian La Liga on Saturday night. Williams recorded 15 points and added 4 passes in 37 minutes. Williams has relatively good stats this year 10.3ppg, 2.1rpg and 2.0apg in 26 games.

   #10. L.D. Williams (6'4''-G/F-88, graduated '10, plays pro in Slovenia) couldn't help Ilirija (19-0) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Williams' very good performance the first-placed Ilirija was defeated 86-73 in Lasko by the much lower-ranked Zlatorog (#8) in the Places 7-10 group. He recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 11 rebounds. Williams also added 6 assists. This season Williams has very high stats. He averages 17.8ppg, 6.0rpg, 2.5apg and 1.9spg.
