Top Coppin State College alumni playing currently pro basketball

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Eagles alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Troy Franklin (6'0''-G-89, graduated '13, plays pro in Bulgaria) could not help Akademik Bultex 99 Plovdiv (10-11) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Akademik Bultex 99 Plovdiv was crushed 100-78 on the road by the leading Levski Lukoil. Franklin was the top scorer with 22 points. He also added 4 rebounds in 27 minutes. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Franklin has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 16.7ppg, 3.2rpg, 4.3apg and 2.0spg in six games he played so far.

   #2. Michael Murray (6'5''-SF-91, graduated '14, plays in Portugal) was not able to help Illiabum (11-16) in their last game on Friday. Despite his very good performance the second-placed Illiabum (11-16) was defeated 89-82 in Albufeira by the lower-ranked Imortal (#6) in the Places 7-12 group. Murray was the top scorer with 25 points. He also added 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. It's Murray's first season with the team. This year Murray has very high stats. He averages 18.2ppg, 7.0rpg, 2.4apg and 1.9spg.

   #3. Jahvari Josiah (6'4''-G-93, graduated '15, currently in Puerto Rico) led Cariduros de Fajardo to a victory against the league outsider Indios (4-9) 106-98 in the Puerto Rican BSN on Tuesday night. He recorded 13 points, 4 assists and 4 steals in 23 minutes. Cariduros de Fajardo (7-8) is placed fifth in the BSN. This year Josiah averages 8.9ppg, 4.9rpg, 2.2apg and 1.6spg in 14 games.

   #4. Experienced Tywain McKee (6'2''-PG-86, graduated '09, plays pro in Greece) was not able to secure a victory for Panionios (8-12) in their game against PAOK (15-9) in the Greek A1. McKee scored 7 points, grabbed 4 boards, passed 5 assists and added 3 steals. Panionios was defeated 83-73 in Thessaloniki by the higher-ranked PAOK (#5). There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. This season McKee averages 5.0ppg, 1.9rpg and 2.5apg.

   #5. Rafi Reavis (6'8''-C-77, graduated '99, plays in Philippines) couldn't help Hotshots (6-5) in their game against Rain or Shine (8-3) in the Filipino PBA. Reavis recorded 9 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in 24 minutes. But Hotshots lost 77-84 at home to the second-ranked Rain or Shine. It's Reavis' tenth season with the team. This year he averages 5.5ppg and 6.3rpg in 15 games. Reavis is a naturalized Filipino.

   #6. Akeem Ellis (6'6''-G-90, graduated '12, currently in Canada) was the major contributor in a Kitchener-Waterloo Titans' victory against the London Lightning 101-97 in the NBLCanada on Tuesday night. Ellis recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 3 assists. This season Ellis has very high stats. He averages 18.6ppg, 7.2rpg and 2.6apg.
