Top Hofstra University alumni playing currently pro basketball

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Pride alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Experienced Carlos Rivera (6'2''-PG-83, graduated '07, plays pro in Mexico) led Fuerza Regia Monterrey to a victory over the leader Capitanes (26-13) 88-79 in the Mexican LNBP (second division) on Tuesday night. He was MVP of the game. Rivera recorded 27 points (!!!), 4 rebounds and 5 assists in 33 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group North. Fuerza Regia Monterrey (31-9) is placed first. Rivera has relatively good stats this season 13.1ppg, 2.9rpg and 5.2apg.

   #2. Charles Jenkins (6'3''-G-89, graduated '11, plays in Russia) could not help Khimki (9-21) in their last game. Despite his good performance Khimki lost 74-83 on the road to the much higher-ranked (#5) FC Barcelona. Jenkins was the second best scorer with 13 points. It was Khimki's eighth consecutive loss in a row. The Regular Season already ended in the Euroleague. This year Jenkins averages 6.9ppg, 2.8rpg and 1.2apg in 29 games he played so far. He is a naturalized Serbian.

   #3. Arminas Urbutis (6'9''-C/F-86, graduated '09, currently in Lithuania) was the main contributor in Siauliai's victory against the fifth-ranked P.Zvaigzdes (16-14) 111-97 in the Lithuanian LKL last Saturday. He was MVP of the game. Urbutis scored 17 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 26 minutes. BC Siauliai (6-24) is placed second from the bottom (#9) in the LKL. It was his team's first victory after five consecutive loses. Urbutis has relatively good stats this season 10.4ppg, 5.9rpg and 1.5apg.

   #4. Juan'Ya Green (6'2''-G-92, graduated '16, plays pro in Hungary) was the major contributor in KTE-Duna's victory against the second-ranked Kaposvari (12-15) 104-102 in the Hungarian A Division on Saturday night. He scored 17 points and added 8 passes (was perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line); quite an impressive performance considering it's only Green's third season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Places 6-10. KTE-Duna Aszfalt (13-13) is placed first. Green has relatively good stats this year 11.6ppg, 2.2rpg and 4.1apg in 26 games.

   #5. Adrian Uter (6'7''-F/C-84, graduated '06, plays in Puerto Rico) was not able to help Leones de Ponce in their game against Piratas (10-4) in the Puerto Rican BSN. Despite his good performance in Saturday night's game Uter scored 11 points, had 9 rebounds and made 3 blocks in 26 minutes. Uter has relatively good stats this season 11.1ppg, 6.7rpg, 1.5apg and 1.4bpg. He is a naturalized Jamaican.

   #6. Rokas Gustys (6'9''-F/C-94, graduated '18, currently in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for Chocalates Trapa Palencia in their game against Caceres Basket in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division). He scored 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. His team lost 70-76. This year Gustys averages 6.2ppg and 5.0rpg in 30 games.

   #7. Moussa Kone (6'8''-F-93, graduated '15, plays pro in Spain) is a teammate of previously mentioned Rokas Gustys and both played together in the last Spanish LEB Gold game. Kone couldn't help Chocalates Trapa Palencia in their game against Caceres Basket. He scored 6 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 16 minutes. His team was defeated 76-70. This season Kone averages 6.0ppg and 5.1rpg. He is a naturalized Ivorian.

   #8. Aurimas Kieza (6'7''-PF-82, graduated '06, plays in Lithuania) contributed to Suduva-Mantinga's victory against the third-ranked Palanga 86-79 in the Lithuanian NKL (second division) in Friday night's game. He recorded 13 points and blocked 2 blocks. Kieza has relatively good stats this year 11.1ppg, 4.7rpg and 1.9apg in 43 games.

   #9. Bradley Kelleher (6'0''-PG-86, graduated '11, currently in Australia) managed to help Waverley Falcons to win against the 14th-ranked Eltham Wildcats 89-84 in the Australian State League (second division) last Saturday. He scored only 2 points in 9 minutes on the court. This season Kelleher averages 3.0ppg and 2.0rpg.

   #10. Darren Townes (6'7''-F-86, graduated '09, plays pro in Portugal) contributed to a Belenenses CF's victory against the leader Barreirense 72-65 in the Portuguese Proliga (second division) on Saturday night. He had a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 15 rebounds. Townes has relatively good stats this year 13.6ppg, 8.6rpg, 1.7apg and 1.3spg in 18 games.
