Top Eastern Washington University alumni playing currently pro basketball

We bring you last week's top former Eagles players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Jacob Wiley (6'8''-F-94, graduated '17, plays pro in Spain) could not help Gran Canaria (12-13) in their game last Sunday. Despite his very good performance Gran Canaria was defeated 77-71 at home by the second-ranked Real Madrid. Wiley was the second best scorer with 18 points. He also added 4 rebounds in 30 minutes. Wiley has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 15.2ppg and 4.3rpg.

   #2. Experienced Adris De Leon (5'11''-PG-84, graduated '09, plays in Poland) led MKS Dabrowa Gornicza to a victory over the 12th-ranked HydroTruck Radom (8-18) 76-65 in the Polish EBL in Sunday night's game. He was MVP of the game. De Leon scored 17 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists. MKS Dabrowa Gorniczais placed fourth in the EBL. De Leon has relatively good stats this year 13.5ppg, 2.2rpg, 4.2apg and 1.7spg in 10 games he played so far.

   #3. Drew Brandon (6'4''-G-92, graduated '15, currently in Poland), who plays in the Polish EBL was not able to help AZS Koszalin (7-19) in their game last Sunday. Despite his very good performance AZS Koszalin was defeated 89-84 on their home court in Koszalin by the leading Asseco Arka. Brandon was the top scorer with 21 points. He also added 5 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 23 minutes. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Brandon has relatively good stats this season 12.6ppg, 6.4rpg, 4.9apg and 1.5spg.

   #4. Venkatesha Jois (6'8''-F-93, graduated '16, plays pro in New Zealand) was the main contributor in a 2 Cheap Cars Super City Rangers' victory against the league outsider Jets (0-1) 86-75 in the New Zealand NBL on Thursday night. Jois was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 24 points and getting 11 rebounds. Jois also added 2 blocks. It was his first game for 2 Cheap Cars Super City Rangers this season; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. His team are placed first in the NBL. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.

   #5. Benas Griciunas (7'0''-C-94, graduated '18, plays in Lithuania) was not able to secure a victory for Siauliai (5-24) in their game last Wednesday. Despite Griciunas' good performance Siauliai was defeated 91-77 on their home court in Siauliai by the higher-ranked Juventus (#6). He scored 11 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in a mere 15 minutes. It's Griciunas' first season with the team. This year Griciunas averages 8.8ppg and 3.0rpg.

   #6. Bogdan Bliznyuk (6'6''-G/F-95, graduated '18, currently in Israel) couldn't help Bnei Hertzeliya in their game against Hapoel Tel-Aviv in the Israeli Winner League. He scored 5 points. His team was badly defeated by 17 points 90-73. This year Bliznyuk averages 7.1ppg, 2.9rpg and 1.6apg in 25 games.

   #7. Milan Stanojevic (6'1''-G-86, graduated '09, plays pro in Czech Republic) couldn't help NH Ostrava in their game against USK Praha in the Czech Republic NBL. He scored 7 points and added 5 passes in 18 minutes. His team was crushed by 24 points 96-72. Stanojevic has relatively good stats this season 13.8ppg, 2.7rpg, 5.0apg and 1.3spg.

   #8. Jordan Hickert (6'9''-F/C-90, graduated '11, plays in Australia) managed to help Perry Lakes Hawks in a victory against the 13th-ranked Magic crushing them 120-73 in the Australian State League (second division) in Friday night's game. He scored only 2 points. This year Hickert averages 1.2ppg in five games.

   #9. Cliff Colimon (6'0''-PG-89, graduated '12, currently in France), who plays in the French NM1 (third division) couldn't help Toulouse (16-4) in their game last Friday. Despite his very good performance the second-placed Toulouse was defeated 97-90 on the road by the lower-ranked Sorgues BC (#4) in the Places 11-20 group. Colimon was the second best scorer with 18 points. He also added 4 assists in 20 minutes. Colimon has relatively good stats this season 14.2ppg, 3.1rpg, 4.1apg and 1.5spg. He is a naturalized Haitian.
