Best performed former University of Richmond players in pro basketball in last week games

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Spiders alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Darrius Garrett (6'9''-C-90, graduated '12, plays pro in Greece) managed to help PAOK Thessaloniki in a victory against the tenth-ranked Panionios (7-16) 83-73 in the Greek A1 last Wednesday. He scored only 4 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 22 minutes. PAOK Thessaloniki (16-4) is placed second in the A1. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This year Garrett averages 6.1ppg and 6.1rpg in 20 games he played so far. He is a naturalized Rwandan.

   #2. Experienced Tae-Jong Moon (6'6''-F-75, graduated '98, plays in South Korea) contributed to a Mobis Phoebus' victory against the closely-ranked KCC Egis (28-26) 84-80 in the South Korean KBL on Tuesday night. He recorded 9 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Hyundai Mobis Phoebus (43-11) are placed first in the KBL. It was his team's eighth consecutive victory in a row. It's Moon's first season with the team. This year Moon averages 5.6ppg, 3.5rpg and 1.2apg. He is a naturalized South Korean.

   #3. Jermaine Bucknor (6'7''-F-83, graduated '06, currently in Germany), who plays in the German ProA (second division) could not help ROMERSTROM Gladiators Trier (16-4) in their last game. Despite his good performance the league leader ROMERSTROM Gladiators Trier lost 72-84 on the road to the lower-ranked (#3) Nuernberg. Bucknor was the second best scorer with 13 points. He also added 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 22 minutes. It was ROMERSTROM Gladiators Trier's fourth consecutive loss in a row. Bucknor has relatively good stats this year 14.1ppg, 6.1rpg and 3.6apg in 32 games. He has also Canadian passport.

   #4. David Gonzalvez (6'4''-G-87, graduated '10, plays pro in Finland) led Kouvot to a victory over the closely-ranked Joensuun Kataja (22-16) 97-78 in the Finnish Korisliiga last Friday. Gonzalvez was MVP of the game. He scored 21 points. Kouvot Kouvola (17-10) is placed third in the Korisliiga. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended. It's Gonzalvez's first season with the team. Gonzalvez has relatively good stats this year 14.4ppg, 2.3rpg and 2.3apg.

   #5. Kendall Anthony (5'8''-PG-93, graduated '15, plays in France) was not able to help BCM Gravelines Dunkerque Grand Littoral in their game against JDA Dijon (21-5) in the French Jeep ELITE ProA. Anthony scored 7 points in 15 minutes. BCM Gravelines Dunkerque Grand Littoral was badly defeated 86-70 in Dijon by the higher-ranked (#3) JDA Dijon. Anthony has relatively good stats this year 13.9ppg, 2.1rpg and 4.0apg in 11 games.

   #6. Terry Allen (6'8''-F-93, graduated '16, currently in Israel) was not able to secure a victory for Ironi Nahariya in their game against Hapoel Eilat in the Israeli Winner League. Allen recorded 5 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. His team was crushed by 21 points 90-69. Allen has relatively good stats this season 12.6ppg, 5.2rpg, 2.2apg and 1.2spg.
