Top George Mason University alumni playing currently pro basketball

We bring you last week's top former Patriots players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Experienced Will Thomas (6'8''-PF-86, played in 2004-08, plays pro in Spain) led his Spanish team Valencia Basket to a victory over the leader ALBA Berlin (5-1) 89-75 in the Eurocup in Tuesday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Thomas recorded 22 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 25 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group G. Valencia Basket (6-0) is placed first. So far his team won all six games in the Finals. Thomas has relatively good stats this year 11.7ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.7apg in 22 games he played so far. He is a naturalized Georgian.

   #2. Ryan Pearson (6'6''-F-90, graduated '12, plays in France) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (16-9) 86-70 in the French Jeep ELITE ProA last Tuesday. He scored 13 points and had 4 steals. JDA Dijon Bourgogne (21-5) is placed third in the Jeep ELITE ProA. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Pearson has relatively good stats this season 12.0ppg, 3.3rpg, 2.0apg and 1.3spg.

   #3. Gabe Norwood (6'5''-G/F-85, graduated '07, currently in Philippines) was the major contributor in a Rain or Shine's victory against the sixth-ranked Hotshots (6-5) 84-77 in the Filipino PBA on Friday night. Norwood recorded 13 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 30 minutes. Rain or Shine Elasto Painters (8-3) are placed second in the PBA. It's Norwood's seventh season with the team. This year he averages 5.4ppg, 4.2rpg and 1.8apg in 13 games. Norwood is a naturalized Filipino.

   #4. Shevon Thompson (7'0''-C-93, graduated '16, plays pro in Belgium) could not help Oostende (18-5) in their last game on Friday. Despite Thompson's very good performance Oostende was defeated 77-73 on the road by the lower-ranked Spirou Charleroi (#3). He was the second best scorer with 16 points. Thompson also added 9 rebounds (was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line). Thompson has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 16.0ppg and 7.0rpg.

   #5. Mike Morrison (6'9''-C-89, graduated '12, plays in Germany) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Openjobmetis VA (4-2) crushing them 89-66 in the FIBA Europe Cup last Wednesday. Morrison recorded 8 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and made 2 blocks in 19 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group I. s.Oliver Wuerzburg (6-0) is placed first. So far his team won all six games in the Semi-Finals. This year Morrison averages 8.6ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.3apg in 10 games.

   #6. Jalen Jenkins (6'7''-PF-94, graduated '17, currently in Bulgaria) contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Academic Sofia crushing them 95-64 in the Bulgarian NBL on Wednesday night. Jenkins scored 15 points, had 7 rebounds and made 2 blocks. Jenkins has relatively good stats this season 13.0ppg, 7.4rpg and 2.0apg.

   #7. Cameron Long (6'4''-G-88, graduated '11, plays pro in Israel) was not able to help one of league's weakest teams Rishon in their game against Ironi Nes-Ziona in the Israeli Winner League. Long scored 8 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 7 assists in 37 minutes. His team was edged 85-84. Long has relatively good stats this year 14.5ppg, 4.2rpg, 4.4apg and 1.3spg in 24 games.

   #8. Darryl Monroe (6'7''-C/F-86, graduated '09, plays in Israel) is a teammate of previously mentioned Cameron Long. But that was another game of his team in Israeli Winner League which we would like to mention. Monroe was not able to secure a victory for Rishon (11-15) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his good performance Rishon was defeated 74-66 in Hod Hasharon by the league outsider Bnei Hasharon (#12). Monroe recorded 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. This season Monroe averages 8.5ppg, 6.0rpg and 2.0apg.

   #9. Bryon Allen (6'4''-G-92, graduated '14, currently in Italy) couldn't help Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia in their game against Dolomiti En. TR in the Italian Serie A. Allen recorded 5 points and added 4 assists in 25 minutes. His team lost 80-84. Allen has relatively good stats this year 12.9ppg, 3.1rpg and 2.7apg in 15 games.

   #10. Folarin Campbell (6'4''-G/F-86, graduated '08, plays pro in Italy) contributed to a Bondi Ferrara's victory against the 12th-ranked UCC Piacenza 82-75 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) in Sunday night's game. Campbell recorded 14 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. This season Campbell has very high stats. He averages 20.8ppg, 4.8rpg and 3.0apg.
