Best performed former East Tennessee State University players in pro basketball in last week games

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Buccaneers alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Jalen Riley (6'0''-PG-93, graduated '15, plays pro in Lithuania) could not help Palanga (26-14) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the third-placed Palanga (26-14) lost 79-86 at home to the second-ranked Suduva-Mantinga in the Places 1-8 group. Riley was the top scorer with 18 points. He also added 6 rebounds and 4 assists in 24 minutes. Riley has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 26.2ppg, 4.6rpg, 3.8apg and 1.9spg in 40 games he played so far.

   #2. Isaac Banks (6'7''-F-94, graduated '17, plays in Georgia) was not able to help Rustavi in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance Rustavi was defeated 96-81 on the road by the lower-ranked BC Titebi (#8). Banks recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 13 rebounds. He also added 6 assists. It's Banks' first season with the team. Banks has relatively good stats this year 13.2ppg, 9.3rpg, 3.9apg, 2.4bpg and 1.3spg.

   #3. Desonta Bradford (6'4''-G-96, graduated '18, currently in Hungary) contributed to Kormend's victory against the second-ranked Atomeromu (13-14) 86-73 in the Hungarian A Division in Saturday night's game. Bradford scored 8 points, made 4 passes and 3 steals in 31 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Places 1-5. Egis Kormend (20-6) is placed second. It was his team's eighth consecutive victory in a row. It's Bradford's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 13.5ppg, 4.0rpg, 2.6apg and 2.0spg in 26 games.

   #4. Jalan McCloud (5'11''-PG-95, graduated '18, plays pro in United Kingdom) led Bristol Academy Flyers to an easy victory against the league leader London Lions (21-4) 80-64 in the British BBL last Friday. He recorded 11 points and added 5 assists. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Bristol Academy Flyers (15-3) is placed first in the BBL. This season McCloud has very high stats. He averages 15.4ppg, 2.8rpg, 3.7apg and 1.8spg.

   #5. Deuce Bello (6'4''-G-92, graduated '16, plays in Egypt) was not able to secure a victory for Al Ahly (2-1) in their game against Somouha (3-0) in the Africa Basketball League. Bello scored 8 points in 19 minutes. The second-placed Al Ahly (2-1) lost 81-88 on the opponent's court to the leading Somouha in the group C of Africa Basketball League. It's Bello's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 11.0ppg, 1.6rpg and 1.2apg in five games. Bello is a naturalized Nigerian.

   #6. Mike Smith (6'6''-G-87, graduated '11, currently in Belgium) managed to help Belfius Mons-Hainaut to win against the league outsider Liege Basket 75-72 in the Belgian Euromillions League in Friday night's game. Smith scored only 4 points. This season he has very high stats. Smith averages 15.2ppg, 4.1rpg, 1.8apg and 1.2spg.

   #7. Adam Sollazzo (6'6''-G-90, graduated '12, plays pro in France) contributed to a 2-point Chartres Basket Masculins' victory against the closely-ranked Entente Orleans 45 84-82 in the French ProB (second division) last Friday. Sollazzo scored 8 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 7 assists (was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line) in 22 minutes. This year he averages 7.3ppg, 2.4rpg and 2.7apg in 13 games. Sollazzo is a naturalized Italian.

   #8. Devontavius Payne (6'2''-G-95, graduated '18, plays in United Kingdom) contributed to an easy victory against the fifth-ranked Sheffield Sharks crushing them 85-56 in the British BBL on Friday night. Payne recorded only one point and added 4 assists. He has relatively good stats this season 10.3ppg, 2.7rpg, 1.2apg and 1.2spg.
