Here is the weekly review of the top performing Demon Deacons alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. John Collins (6'10''-PF-97, graduated '17, plays pro in the NBA) could not help the Atlanta Hawks (24-45) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the Atlanta Hawks (24-45) were edged 114-112 on the road by the Brooklyn Nets. Collins had a double-double by scoring 33 points and getting 20 rebounds in 30 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. Collins has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 19.9ppg, 9.8rpg and 1.9apg in 50 games he played so far. Collins is a naturalized Virgin Islander.

   #2. Experienced Chris Paul (6'0''-PG-85, graduated '05, plays in the NBA) was not able to help the Houston Rockets (42-26) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Paul's very good performance the Houston Rockets (42-26) were edged 106-104 in Oakland by the Golden State Warriors. He was the second best scorer with 24 points. Paul also added 6 rebounds and dished 3 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). This season Paul has very high stats. He averages 15.4ppg, 4.6rpg, 8.1apg and 1.9spg.

   #3. Jeff Teague (6'2''-PG-88, graduated '09, currently in the NBA) was the major contributor in a Minnesota Timberwolves' victory against the New York Knicks (13-55) 103-92 in the NBA on Sunday night. Teague had a double-double by scoring 20 points and making 10 passes. He also added 2 blocks in 33 minutes. The Minnesota Timberwolves have 32-36 record this season. Teague has very impressive stats this year 12.1ppg, 2.5rpg and 8.2apg in 42 games.

   #4. Codi Miller-McIntyre (6'3''-G-94, graduated '16, plays pro in Russia) led his Russian team Zenit Sankt Petersburg to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Avtodor (8-11) crushing them 103-81 in the VTB United League in Sunday night's game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and making 11 passes. Zenit Sankt Petersburg (11-7) is placed sixth in the VTB United League. Miller-McIntyre's team will play only one more game in the VTB United League Regular Season. And that game will be critical. This season Miller-McIntyre averages 9.2ppg, 2.8rpg, 5.6apg and 1.2spg.

   #5. Ishmael Smith (6'0''-PG-88, graduated '10, plays in the NBA) led Detroit Pistons to an easy victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves (32-36) 131-114 in the NBA last Wednesday. Smith scored 19 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 27 minutes. The Detroit Pistons have 34-33 record this season. Smith has relatively good stats this year 8.6ppg, 2.4rpg and 3.4apg in 41 games.

   #6. C.J. Harris (6'3''-SG-91, graduated '13, currently in France), who plays in the French Jeep ELITE ProA was not able to secure a victory for Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez (14-7) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez was defeated 75-69 in Le Portel by the much lower-ranked Le Portel (#15). Harris was the second best scorer with 16 points. He also added 5 rebounds and 6 assists. This season Harris has very high stats. He averages 17.7ppg, 2.7rpg and 3.2apg.

   #7. Jamaal Levy (6'9''-F/C-83, graduated '05, plays pro in Argentina) led Bahia Basket to a 2-point victory against the closely-ranked Hispano Americano de Rio Gallegos 87-85 in the Argentinian La Liga in Friday night's game. He had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 11 rebounds. Levy also added 5 assists and 2 blocks in 36 minutes. This year Levy averages 8.9ppg, 6.7rpg, 1.8apg and 1.4spg in 20 games.

   #8. Al-Farouq Aminu (6'9''-F-90, graduated '10, plays in the NBA) couldn't help the Portland Trail Blazers in their game against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA. He scored 9 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. His team were defeated 129-121 in the NBA. Aminu has relatively good stats this season 9.3ppg, 7.6rpg and 1.3apg. He is a naturalized Nigerian.

   #9. L.D. Williams (6'4''-G/F-88, graduated '10, currently in Slovenia), who plays in the Slovenian Liga Nova KBM couldn't help Ilirija (19-0) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the first-placed Ilirija lost 75-84 in Kranj to the second-ranked Sencur Gorenjska gradbena druzba in the Places 7-10 group. Williams was the top scorer with 26 points. He also added 4 passes in 36 minutes. Williams has very impressive stats this year 15.2ppg, 4.7rpg, 2.2apg and 1.6spg in 13 games.

   #10. Terrence Thompson (6'7''-F-94, graduated '18, plays pro in Georgia) contributed to Kutaisi's victory against the seventh-ranked BC Titebi 75-66 in the Georgian Superleague in Saturday night's game. Thompson recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points and getting 11 rebounds. He also added and 3 steals. Thompson has relatively good stats this season 10.3ppg and 12.4rpg.
