Best performed former The University of Texas players in pro basketball in last week games

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Longhorns alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Ioannis Papapetrou (6'8''-F-94, graduated '14, plays pro in Greece) led his Greek team Panathinaikos to a victory over the league outsider Darussafaka (3-22) crushing them 91-67 in the Euroleague last Thursday. He was MVP of the game. Papapetrou recorded 18 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists in 26 minutes. Panathinaikos Superfoods Athens (12-13) is placed tenth in the Euroleague. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This year Papapetrou averages 9.1ppg and 3.9rpg in 20 games he played so far.

   #2. Experienced LaMarcus Aldridge (6'11''-F/C-85, graduated '06, plays in the NBA) was the main contributor in a San Antonio Spurs' victory against the Milwaukee Bucks (51-17) 121-114 in the NBA on Sunday night. He was MVP of the game. Aldridge recorded a double-double by scoring 29 points and getting 15 rebounds. He also added 2 blocks. The San Antonio Spurs have 39-29 record this season. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. It's Aldridge's fourth year with the team. Aldridge has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 21.3ppg, 8.9rpg, 2.4apg and 1.3bpg.

   #3. Myles Turner (6'11''-C/F-96, graduated '15, currently in the NBA), who plays in the NBA could not help the Indiana Pacers (43-25) in their last game. Despite Turner's very good performance the Indiana Pacers (43-25) were badly defeated 117-98 on the road by the Milwaukee Bucks. He had a double-double by scoring 22 points and getting 17 rebounds. Turner also added 3 assists and 3 blocks in 35 minutes. It's Turner's fourth season with the team. He has very impressive stats this year 13.1ppg, 7.1rpg, 1.6apg and 2.9bpg in 61 games.

   #4. Kevin Durant (6'9''-SF-88, graduated '07, plays pro in the NBA) was the major contributor in a Golden State Warriors' victory against the Denver Nuggets (44-22) 122-105 in the NBA last Friday. Durant recorded 26 points (!!!), 4 rebounds, 6 assists and made 2 blocks. The Golden State Warriors have a solid 46-21 record this season. This year Durant has very high stats. He averages 27.4ppg, 6.7rpg, 5.7apg and 1.2bpg.

   #5. Dogus Balbay (6'1''-PG-89, graduated '11, plays in Turkey) contributed to an Anadolu Efes' victory against the seventh-ranked Turk Telekom (10-9) 84-76 in the Turkish BSL on Monday night. Balbay scored 7 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 24 minutes. Anadolu Efes Istanbul (16-3) is placed second in the BSL. It was his team's eighth consecutive victory in a row. It's Balbay's eighth season with the team. This year he averages 4.0ppg, 2.7rpg and 3.0apg in 18 games.

   #6. J'Covan Brown (6'2''-PG-90, graduated '12, currently in Israel), who plays in the Israeli Winner League was not able to help one of league's weakest teams Hapoel Jerusalem (15-6) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Brown's very good performance Hapoel Jerusalem was defeated 89-78 in Tel-Aviv by the second-ranked Maccabi T-A. He was the second best scorer with 15 points. Brown also added 3 assists. He has relatively good stats this season 11.3ppg, 2.4rpg and 4.2apg.

   #7. Jarrett Allen (6'11''-F-98, graduated '17, plays pro in the NBA) contributed to a 2-point Brooklyn Nets' victory against the Atlanta Hawks 114-112 in the NBA last Saturday. He had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 12 rebounds in 30 minutes. Allen has very impressive stats this year 11.2ppg, 8.4rpg, 1.5apg and 1.5bpg in 68 games.

   #8. Avery Bradley (6'2''-PG-90, graduated '10, plays in the NBA) contributed to a Memphis Grizzlies' victory against the Orlando Magic 105-97 in the NBA on Sunday night. He scored 21 points and added 3 passes. This season Bradley has very high stats. He averages 15.7ppg, 3.3rpg, 3.9apg and 1.1spg.

   #9. Clint Chapman (6'10''-F/C-89, graduated '12, currently in Germany) helped Rasta Vechta win their game against the league leader Bayern Muenchen 93-75 in the German BBL in Sunday night's game. Chapman scored 16 points in just a mere 14 minutes. It was his first game for Rasta Vechta this season.

   #10. Jordan Hamilton (6'7''-F-90, graduated '11, plays pro in Italy) was not able to secure a victory for Germani BR (9-12) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Hamilton's very good performance Germani BR was defeated 84-79 at home by the higher-ranked Dolomiti En. TR (#9). He was the second best scorer with 19 points. Hamilton also added 4 rebounds. He has relatively good stats this season 12.8ppg, 6.4rpg and 2.2apg.
