Best performed former The University of Nevada players in pro basketball in last week games

Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top former Wolf Pack players who continue their career in pro basketball.


   #1. Experienced Nick Fazekas (6'11''-F/C-85, graduated '07, plays pro in Japan) led Kawasaki Brave Thunders to a 3-point victory over the fifth-ranked Fukuoka Rizing (10-34) 108-105 in the Japanese B League last Saturday. He was MVP of the game. Fazekas recorded 34 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 5 assists in 41 minutes. Kawasaki Brave Thunders (28-16) are placed second in Central group. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. It's Fazekas' seventh season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Fazekas averages 22.5ppg, 11.0rpg, 3.1apg and 1.1spg in 41 games he played so far. He is a naturalized Japanese.

   #2. Javale McGee (7'0''-C-88, graduated '08, plays in the NBA) could not help the Los Angeles Lakers (31-36) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his very good performance the Los Angeles Lakers (31-36) were badly defeated 115-99 on the road by the Denver Nuggets. McGee was the second best scorer with 16 points. He also added 6 rebounds. It's McGee's first season with the team. McGee has relatively good stats this year 11.0ppg, 6.6rpg and 1.9bpg.

   #3. Deonte Burton (6'0''-PG-91, graduated '14, currently in the NBA G League) was the major contributor in a Salt Lake City Stars' victory against the Memphis Hustle (26-20) 110-94 in the NBA G League in Wednesday night's game. Burton recorded 21 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists in 26 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group W Southwest. The Salt Lake City Stars have 25-21 record this season. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the NBA G League Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This year Burton averages 5.9ppg, 1.8rpg and 3.1apg in 39 games. He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

   #4. Aleksander Czyz (6'7''-PF-90, graduated '12, plays pro in Poland) was not able to help Anwil Wloclawek in their game against AZS Koszalin (6-15) in the Polish EBL. He scored only 4 points. Anwil Wloclawek was edged 80-77 in Koszalin by the much lower-ranked AZS Koszalin (#12). It was Anwil Wloclawek's first loss after four consecutive victories. This season Czyz averages 2.7ppg and 2.0rpg.

   #5. Michael Perez (6'3''-G-91, graduated '15, plays in Mexico) contributed to a 2-point Aaguacateros' victory against the second-ranked Soles (26-13) 82-80 in the Mexican LNBP (second division) on Thursday night. He recorded 6 points in just 6 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group South. Aaguacateros Michoacan (23-16) is placed third. It's Perez's first season with the team. This year Perez averages 4.7ppg, 1.8rpg and 1.1apg in 16 games.

   #6. Brandon Fields (6'4''-G-88, graduated '10, currently in the NBA G League) led Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario to a victory against the Northern Arizona Suns 120-107 in the NBA G League in Tuesday night's game. He recorded 11 points and added 3 assists. Fields has relatively good stats this season 10.3ppg, 2.0rpg and 4.2apg.

   #7. Malik Story (6'5''-F/G-90, graduated '13, plays pro in Canada) was not able to secure a victory for the Island Storm (7-23) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the Island Storm (#5) lost 110-115 in Moncton to the Miracles. Story scored 17 points in 23 minutes. He has relatively good stats this year 12.4ppg, 3.6rpg and 1.1apg in nine games.
