Best performed former George Mason University players in pro basketball in last week games

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Patriots alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Jonathan Arledge (6'9''-F-91, played in 2010-14, plays pro in Latvia) led Ventspils to a victory over one of league's weakest teams Jekabpils (1-18) crushing them 115-58 in the Latvian LatEstBL last Saturday. He was MVP of the game. Arledge scored 23 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 26 minutes. BK Ventspils (25-1) is placed first in the LatEstBL. It was his team's 22nd consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Arledge's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 12.3ppg, 5.8rpg, 1.1apg and 1.1spg in 24 games he played so far.

   #2. Experienced Will Thomas (6'8''-PF-86, played in 2004-08, plays in Spain) contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams UCAM Murcia (6-16) crushing them 89-65 in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Sunday night. He recorded 12 points. Valencia Basket (14-8) is placed fifth in the Liga Endesa. Thomas has relatively good stats this season 11.1ppg, 4.6rpg and 2.1apg. He is a naturalized Georgian.

   #3. Darryl Monroe (6'7''-C/F-86, graduated '09, currently in South Korea), who plays in the South Korean KBL could not help one of league's weakest teams Goyang Orions (24-27) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Goyang Orions lost 77-86 at home to the higher-ranked (#5) KCC Egis. Monroe had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 6 assists and 2 blocks in 35 minutes. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. It's Monroe's first season with the team. Monroe has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 19.6ppg, 11.7rpg, 5.4apg and 1.8spg in 44 games.

   #4. Bryon Allen (6'4''-G-92, graduated '14, plays pro in Italy) was not able to help Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia (5-16) in their last game on Monday. Despite his very good performance Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia was defeated 71-67 on the road by the leading Armani Milano. Allen was the top scorer with 21 points. He also added 5 rebounds. Allen has relatively good stats this season 12.8ppg, 2.8rpg and 2.7apg.

   #5. Cameron Long (6'4''-G-88, graduated '11, plays in Israel) was not able to secure a victory for Rishon (10-11) in their last game. Despite Long's very good performance Rishon was edged 94-92 on their home court in Rishon Le-Zion by the second-ranked Maccabi T-A. He was the second best scorer with 18 points. Long also added 5 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 43 minutes. It was Rishon's third consecutive loss in a row. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is quite important. It's Long's first season with the team. Long has very impressive stats this year 15.6ppg, 4.3rpg, 4.1apg and 1.5spg in 18 games.

   #6. Marquise Moore (6'2''-G-94, graduated '17, currently in the NBA G League), who plays in the NBA G League couldn't help the Iowa Wolves (17-29) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Moore's very good performance the Iowa Wolves (#4) were defeated 122-111 in Uniondale by the Long Island Nets. He scored 16 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 5 assists. This season Moore averages 8.4ppg, 4.5rpg and 2.3apg.

   #7. Mike Morrison (6'9''-C-89, graduated '12, plays pro in Germany) contributed to a 3-point s.Oliver Wuerzburg's victory against the leader Avtodor 79-76 in the FIBA Europe Cup last Wednesday. He recorded 6 points in 16 minutes. This year Morrison averages 9.7ppg, 3.2rpg and 1.3apg in six games.

   #8. Folarin Campbell (6'4''-G/F-86, graduated '08, plays in Italy) couldn't help Bondi Ferrara (9-15) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Campbell's very good performance the 12th-placed Bondi Ferrara was defeated 82-76 on their home court in Ferrara by the much higher-ranked Tezenis VER (#4) in the East group. He was the top scorer with 25 points. Campbell also added 3 passes. This season he has very high stats. Campbell averages 20.8ppg, 4.4rpg and 3.4apg.

   #9. Gabe Norwood (6'5''-G/F-85, graduated '07, currently in Philippines) couldn't help Rain or Shine in their game against Columbian Dyip in the Filipino PBA. Norwood scored 5 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 19 minutes. His team were edged 85-82. This year he averages 4.4ppg, 3.9rpg and 2.0apg in 10 games. Norwood is a naturalized Filipino.

   #10. Jalen Jenkins (6'7''-PF-94, graduated '17, plays pro in Bulgaria) contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider Cherno More 100-82 in the Bulgarian NBL last Saturday. Jenkins recorded 6 points and added 3 assists. He has relatively good stats this season 14.2ppg, 8.1rpg and 2.3apg.
