Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top former Cougars players who continue their career in pro basketball.

#1. Experienced Jeleel Akindele (7'1''-C-83, graduated '05, plays pro in Mexico) led Fuerza Regia Monterrey to a victory against the fourth-ranked Laguneros (19-20) 88-77 in the Mexican LNBP (second division) on Sunday night. He scored 13 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and dished 6 assists in 30 minutes. Fuerza Regia Monterrey (31-9) is placed first in North group. Akindele has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 17.4ppg, 8.7rpg and 2.8apg.

#2. Carl Montgomery (6'8''-F-89, graduated '13, plays in Latvia) contributed to Jurmala's victory against the 12th-ranked ViA (7-17) 81-69 in the Latvian LatEstBL in Wednesday night's game. Montgomery had a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting the same number of rebounds. BK Jurmala (9-4) is placed fourth in the LatEstBL. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This year Montgomery averages 5.0ppg and 7.2rpg in six games he played so far.

#3. Trayvon Palmer (6'6''-G/F-94, played in 2014-17, currently in the NBA G League) contributed to a Northern Arizona Suns' victory against the South Bay Lakers (17-27) 114-100 in the NBA G League last Tuesday. Palmer scored 12 points, had 9 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 25 minutes. The Northern Arizona Suns have rather weak 11-34 record this season. This year Palmer averages 6.8ppg, 4.1rpg and 1.4apg.

#4. Deionte Simmons (6'9''-C-96, graduated '18, plays pro in Denmark) could not help Wolfpack/BMS (7-13) in their last game. Despite his good performance the second-placed Wolfpack/BMS (7-13) was edged 72-70 at home by the leading EBAA in the ProB group. Simmons had a double-double by scoring 10 points and getting 12 rebounds. He also added and 3 steals. It was Wolfpack/BMS's third consecutive loss in a row. Simmons' team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Simmons has very impressive stats this year 20.5ppg, 7.5rpg and 1.1spg in 19 games.

#5. Jawad Adekoya (6'6''-G, graduated '16, plays in United Kingdom) managed to help Plymouth University Raiders to win against one of league's weakest teams Scorchers (5-18) 108-89 in the British BBL in Sunday night's game. He is a naturalized British.

   #6.
