Best performed former Western Kentucky University players in pro basketball in last week games

Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top former Hilltoppers players who continue their career in pro basketball.


   #1. Darius Thompson (6'4''-G-95, graduated '18, plays pro in Holland) could not help Leiden (2-4) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the third-placed Leiden (2-4) lost 93-97 at home to the leading Banco di Srd in the group L of FIBA Europe Cup. Thompson was the second best scorer with 25 points. He also added 4 assists in 36 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Thompson's first season in pro basketball. Thompson has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 22.5ppg, 4.7rpg, 3.9apg and 2.1spg in 15 games he played so far.

   #2. T.J. Price (6'4''-G-93, graduated '15, plays in Hungary) led his Hungarian team Kormend to a victory over the leader GTK (5-1) crushing them 105-85 in the Alpe Adria Cup on Tuesday night. He was MVP of the game. Price recorded 29 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 6 assists. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group A. Egis Kormend (4-2) is placed first. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This season Price has very high stats. He averages 16.0ppg, 2.9rpg, 3.5apg and 1.1spg.

   #3. A.J. Slaughter (6'3''-G-87, graduated '10, currently in France) was the major contributor in an ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket's victory against the closely-ranked Andorra (5-1) 79-75 in the Eurocup in Tuesday night's game. He recorded 15 points (made all of his six free throws) in 24 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group F. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (5-1) is placed first. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. This year Slaughter averages 9.2ppg, 1.1rpg and 1.2apg in 17 games. He is a naturalized Polish.

   #4. Mitchell Robinson (7'1''-C-98, graduated '18, plays pro in the NBA) was not able to help the New York Knicks (13-53) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his very good performance the New York Knicks (13-53) were crushed 128-107 on the road by the Los Angeles Clippers. Robinson recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 13 rebounds. He also added 4 blocks. This season Robinson averages 6.7ppg, 5.3rpg and 2.3bpg.

   #5. Japeth Aguilar (6'9''-C-87, graduated '09, plays in Philippines) was not able to secure a victory for one of league's weakest teams Ginebra Kings (3-3) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Ginebra Kings were crushed 104-78 in Makati by the higher-ranked (#6) Alaska Aces. Aguilar had a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 11 rebounds. He also added 2 blocks and 3 steals in 36 minutes. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Aguilar's sixth season with the team. Aguilar has very impressive stats this year 18.0ppg, 7.7rpg, 1.7apg, 1.5bpg and 1.2spg in six games.

   #6. Jeremy Evans (6'9''-F-87, graduated '10, currently in Turkey), who plays in the Turkish BSL couldn't help Darussafaka (18-5) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his good performance Darussafaka was defeated 80-72 in Bursa by the lower-ranked Tofas (#3). Evans was the second best scorer with 12 points. He also added 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Evans has relatively good stats this season 11.7ppg, 8.1rpg, 1.8apg and 1.3bpg.

   #7. Experienced Orlando Mendez-Valdez (5'9''-PG-86, graduated '09, plays pro in Mexico) was the main contributor in a Soles de Mexicali's victory against the third-ranked Aaguacateros crushing them 94-74 in the Mexican LNBP (second division) last Sunday. Mendez-Valdez was MVP of the game. He scored 25 points and grabbed 9 rebounds (was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line) in 31 minutes. Mendez-Valdez has relatively good stats this year 14.4ppg, 3.7rpg and 4.4apg in 29 games. He is a naturalized Mexican.

   #8. Nemanja Milosevic (6'9''-PF-87, graduated '10, plays in Hungary) couldn't help Szolnok in their game against DEAC in the Hungarian A Division. Despite his good performance last Saturday He scored 11 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. This season Milosevic averages 7.6ppg and 5.6rpg.

   #9. Tyrone Brazelton (6'1''-PG-86, graduated '08, currently in Greece) contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Kolossos HH 78-60 in the Greek A1 in Saturday night's game. He scored 6 points and added 7 assists in 17 minutes. Brazelton has relatively good stats this year 10.4ppg, 2.7rpg and 4.4apg in 15 games.

   #10. Courtney Lee (6'5''-G/F-85, graduated '08, plays pro in the NBA) couldn't help the Dallas Mavericks in their game against the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA. Lee scored 7 points. His team were crushed by 39 points 127-88 in the NBA. This season he averages 2.7ppg.
