Top University of Memphis alumni playing currently pro basketball

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Tigers alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Will Barton (6'6''-SG-91, graduated '12, plays pro in the NBA) led Denver Nuggets to a victory over the Los Angeles Lakers (30-35) 115-99 in the NBA in Wednesday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Barton scored 23 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 33 minutes. The Denver Nuggets have a solid 43-22 record this season. It's Barton's fourth year with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Barton averages 12.4ppg, 5.0rpg and 3.3apg in 26 games he played so far.

   #2. Derrick Rose (6'3''-G-88, graduated '08, plays in the NBA) was the major contributor in a Minnesota Timberwolves' victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder (40-26) 131-120 in the NBA last Tuesday. He recorded 19 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. The Minnesota Timberwolves have 30-35 record this season. This year Rose has very high stats. He averages 18.0ppg, 2.8rpg and 4.4apg.

   #3. Adonis Thomas (6'7''-SF-93, graduated '13, currently in Germany) contributed to an easy victory against the 16th-ranked Science City Jena (5-16) crushing them 103-78 in the German BBL on Friday night. Thomas recorded 17 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 28 minutes. medi Bayreuth (11-10) is placed sixth in the BBL. It's Thomas' first season with the team. This year he averages 9.6ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.9apg in 20 games.

   #4. Experienced Joey Dorsey (6'9''-C/F-83, graduated '08, plays pro in Greece) contributed to Panionios' victory against the closely-ranked Lavrio (4-13) 101-91 in the Greek A1 in Saturday night's game. He scored 13 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Panionios ON Telecoms Athens (7-10) is placed eighth in the A1. This season Dorsey averages 7.8ppg and 7.6rpg.

   #5. Michael Dixon (6'1''-G-90, graduated '14, plays in Italy) could not help Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia (5-15) in their last game. Despite Dixon's very good performance Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia lost 80-92 on the road to the much higher-ranked (#4) Openjobmetis VA. He was the second best scorer with 15 points in 20 minutes. It was his first game for Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia this season. It was Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia's sixth consecutive loss in a row. Dixon is a naturalized Georgian.

   #6. Tyreke Evans (6'6''-PG-89, graduated '09, currently in the NBA) contributed to an Indiana Pacers' victory against the Chicago Bulls 105-96 in the NBA on Tuesday night. Evans recorded 8 points. Evans has relatively good stats this season 9.9ppg, 2.7rpg and 2.3apg.

   #7. Ferrakohn Hall (6'8''-F-90, graduated '13, plays pro in the NBA G League) contributed to an easy victory against the Santa Cruz Warriors 120-105 in the NBA G League in Sunday night's game. He recorded 8 points in only 13 minutes. This year Hall averages 8.7ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.8apg in 42 games.

   #8. Trahson Burrell (6'7''-F/G-92, graduated '16, plays in the NBA G League) managed to help Texas Legends to win against the Sioux Falls Skyforce 110-95 in the NBA G League last Saturday. He scored 5 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. This season Burrell averages 6.8ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.5apg.

   #9. Willie Kemp (6'1''-PG-87, graduated '10, currently in Romania) contributed to a CS Dinamo Bucuresti's victory against the third-ranked CSM Steaua Bucuresti 73-67 in a derby game in the Romanian Liga Nationala on Saturday night. He scored 6 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 32 minutes. Kemp has relatively good stats this year 11.6ppg, 2.7rpg, 5.3apg and 1.8spg in 12 games.

   #10. Angel Garcia (6'10''-C-88, graduated '10, plays pro in Puerto Rico) was not able to help Atleticos de San German in their game against Leones in the Puerto Rican BSN. Garcia cannot count Thursday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 2 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. His team was crushed by 36 points 98-62. This season Garcia averages 2.0ppg and 2.0rpg.
