We bring you last week's top former Sun Devils players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. James Harden (6'5''-SG-89, graduated '09, plays pro in the NBA) led Houston Rockets to a victory over the Boston Celtics (40-26) 115-104 in the NBA on Sunday night. He was MVP of the game. Harden scored 42 points (!!!), grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 39 minutes. The Houston Rockets have a solid 40-25 record this season. It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. It's Harden's seventh year with the team. He has individually a very good season with high stats. Harden averages 36.6ppg, 6.5rpg, 7.5apg and 2.2spg.

   #2. Gerry Blakes (6'4''-G-93, graduated '16, plays in Italy) was the major contributor in a 2-point MIA-RO Cantu's victory against the closely-ranked Happy Casa BR (12-8) 81-79 in the Italian Serie A in Monday night's game. He scored 17 points, grabbed 5 boards, handed out 3 passes and blocked 2 shots; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Blakes' third season in pro basketball. MIA-Red October Cantu (10-10) is placed ninth in the Serie A. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Blakes has relatively good stats this year 11.7ppg, 3.3rpg and 2.7apg in 20 games he played so far.

   #3. Jeff Ayres (6'9''-F-87, graduated '09, currently in Japan) contributed to an easy victory against the sixth-ranked Levanga Hokkaido Sapporo (10-33) 72-57 in the Japanese B League last Saturday. Ayres recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 14 rebounds in 30 minutes. Ryukyu Golden Kings Okinawa (28-15) is placed first in West group. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. It's Ayres' first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 14.9ppg, 9.0rpg and 1.8apg.

   #4. Kodi Justice (6'7''-G-95, graduated '18, plays pro in Poland). He could not help one of league's weakest teams Stelmet Enea BC Zielona Gora (18-4) to beat Asseco Arka (18-3) in the Polish EBL. Justice scored 9 points. It was his first game for Stelmet Enea BC Zielona Gora this season. But Stelmet Enea BC Zielona Gora lost 65-78 on the road to the leading Asseco Arka. It was Stelmet Enea BC Zielona Gora's first loss after ten consecutive victories.

   #5. Shaquielle McKissic (6'5''-SF-90, graduated '15, plays in Turkey) contributed to a Gaziantep Basketbol's victory against the closely-ranked Turk Telekom (10-8) 85-79 in the Turkish BSL in Saturday night's game. He recorded 9 points in 19 minutes. Gaziantep Basketbol (11-7) is placed fourth in the BSL. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. It's McKissic's first season with the team. McKissic has relatively good stats this year 11.9ppg, 3.1rpg, 2.0apg and 1.5spg.

   #6. Jahii Carson (5'10''-PG-92, graduated '14, currently in Romania), who plays in the Romanian Liga Nationala was not able to help Pitesti (8-11) in their last game. Despite Carson's very good performance the sixth-placed Pitesti lost 73-81 on the opponent's court to the higher-ranked (#3) Oradea in the Group Red. He was the top scorer with 23 points. Carson also added 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists. He has relatively good stats this year 14.5ppg, 3.1rpg, 3.8apg and 1.4spg in eight games.

   #7. Tra Holder (6'1''-G-95, graduated '18, plays pro in Germany) was not able to secure a victory for Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt (7-12) in their game last Saturday. Despite his good performance Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt was defeated 99-86 in Berlin by the much higher-ranked ALBA (#4). Holder recorded 12 points in 25 minutes. This season he averages 6.8ppg and 1.8rpg.

   #8. Ruslan Pateev (7'0''-C-90, graduated '13, plays in Poland) helped Legia Warszawa win their game against the league outsider Trefl 75-58 in the Polish EBL in Saturday night's game. He scored 11 points and blocked 4 shots. This year Pateev averages 7.2ppg, 4.4rpg and 1.2bpg in 21 games.

   #9. Jonathan Gilling (6'8''-F-91, graduated '15, currently in Spain) was the main contributor in a 1-point Melilla Baloncesto's victory against the ninth-ranked Magia Huesca 88-87 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) last Friday. He was MVP of the game. Gilling recorded 23 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 27 minutes. This season he averages 6.9ppg, 3.1rpg and 1.2apg.

   #10. Eric Jacobsen (6'10''-PF-94, graduated '16, plays pro in Japan) couldn't help Fukuoka Rizing in their game against Chiba Jets in the Japanese B League, despite his good performance last Saturday. Jacobsen was the second best scorer with 11 points. He also added 9 rebounds (was perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line). But his team was crushed by 39 points 102-63. Jacobsen has very impressive stats this year 15.7ppg, 8.5rpg and 2.0apg in 22 games.
