Best performed former University of Portland players in pro basketball in last week games

We bring you last week's top former Pilots players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Luke Sikma (6'8''-F-89, graduated '11, plays pro in Germany) was the major contributor in an ALBA Berlin's victory against the closely-ranked Unicaja Malaga (3-3) crushing them 101-81 in the Eurocup last Friday. He scored 14 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 24 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group E. ALBA Berlin (5-1) is placed first. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Sikma has relatively good stats this year 11.5ppg, 6.8rpg, 4.4apg and 1.8spg in 18 games he played so far.

   #2. Experienced Eugene Jeter (5'11''-PG-83, graduated '06, plays in China) led Fujian Sturgeons to an easy victory against the 15th-ranked Eagles (13-31) 136-118 in the Chinese CBA on Sunday night. Jeter recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and making 11 passes. He also added and 3 steals. Fujian Sturgeons (26-18) are placed seventh in the CBA. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Jeter has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 22.0ppg, 5.2rpg, 7.4apg and 1.2spg. Jeter is a naturalized Ukrainian.

   #3. Alec Wintering (6'0''-PG-95, graduated '17, currently in Holland) led Dutch Windmills Dordrecht to an easy victory against the league outsider BA Limburg (4-22) crushing them 96-57 in the Dutch Eredivisie in Sunday night's game. Wintering recorded 22 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals in 30 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. Dutch Windmills Dordrecht (14-10) is placed fifth in the Eredivisie. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. It's Wintering's first year with the team. Wintering has very impressive stats this season 15.6ppg, 4.7rpg, 4.1apg and 2.0spg in 10 games.

   #4. T.J. Campbell (5'9''-PG-88, graduated '10, plays pro in Turkey) could not help Turk Telekom (8-13) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Campbell's good performance Turk Telekom was defeated 85-79 on the road by the higher-ranked Gaziantep (#4). He recorded 11 points and added 3 assists. This season Campbell averages 7.6ppg, 2.1rpg and 4.2apg.

   #5. Porter Troupe (6'5''-G-83, graduated '02, plays in Romania) was not able to help Craiova (11-9) in their last game. Despite Troupe's very good performance the fourth-placed Craiova (11-9) was edged 74-71 on the opponent's court by the lower-ranked (#5) Timisoara in the Group Red. He was the top scorer with 26 points. Troupe also added 6 rebounds in 34 minutes. It was Craiova's third consecutive loss in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game is very crucial. Troupe has relatively good stats this year 13.0ppg, 3.2rpg and 3.2apg in 20 games.

   #6. Volodymyr Herun (6'10''-F/C-94, graduated '15, currently in Spain), who plays in the Spanish Liga Endesa was not able to secure a victory for Cafes Candelas Breogan Lugo (7-13) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Herun's good performance Cafes Candelas Breogan Lugo was edged 75-73 in Santiago de Comp by the higher-ranked Blusens Monbus (#10). He was the second best scorer with 14 points. Herun also added 6 rebounds and dished 3 assists. This season Herun averages 9.8ppg and 5.5rpg.

   #7. Nikolas Raivio (6'4''-SG-86, graduated '10, plays pro in Germany) managed to help medi Bayreuth in a victory against the closely-ranked Giessen 46ers 95-80 in the German BBL last Friday. He scored only 4 points in 12 minutes. This year Raivio averages 3.4ppg, 1.7rpg and 1.1apg in 17 games.

   #8. Taishi Ito (6'0''-G-86, graduated '10, plays in Japan) contributed to a Shiga L-Stars' victory against the fifth-ranked Akita Happinets 77-68 in the Japanese B League on Saturday night. Ito recorded 9 points. This season Ito averages 3.9ppg, 1.7rpg and 3.9apg.

   #9. D'Marques Tyson (6'5''-G-95, graduated '18, currently in Portugal) helped Vitoria SC win their game against the closely-ranked Lusitania 91-84 in the Portuguese LPB in Tuesday night's game. He scored 10 points in 19 minutes. This year Tyson averages 8.2ppg and 1.9rpg in 20 games.

   #10. Thomas van der Mars (6'10''-C-90, graduated '15, plays pro in Belgium) helped Crelan Okapi Aalstar win their game against the league outsider Liege Basket crushing them 87-66 in the Belgian Euromillions League last Saturday. van der Mars scored only 3 points. van der Mars has relatively good stats this season 11.2ppg and 7.0rpg.
