Top Central Michigan University alumni playing currently pro basketball

We bring you last week's top former Chippewas players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Marcus Keene (5'11''-PG-95, graduated '17, plays pro in South Korea) was the major contributor in a 1-point KCC Egis' victory against the closely-ranked Anyang KGC (21-28) 82-81 in the South Korean KBL in Thursday night's game. He scored 18 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 23 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Keene's second season in pro basketball. KCC Egis (26-24) are placed fifth in the KBL. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Keene has relatively good stats this year 12.8ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.5apg in four games he played so far.

   #2. Experienced Giordan Watson (5'10''-PG-85, graduated '08, plays in Romania) led Oradea to a victory over the fourth-ranked Craiova (11-9) 83-79 in the Romanian Liga Nationala last Friday. Watson was MVP of the game. He scored 16 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 5 assists. CSM CSU Oradea (12-7) is placed second in Group Red. There are only four games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game is very crucial. It's Watson's first season with the team. Watson has relatively good stats this year 12.5ppg, 3.0rpg and 4.8apg. He is a naturalized Romanian.

   #3. Kyle Randall (6'1''-PG-91, graduated '13, currently in the NBA G League), who plays in the NBA G League could not help the Delaware Blue Coats (17-23) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the Delaware Blue Coats (#5) were crushed 124-102 on the road by the Maine Red Claws. Randall was the top scorer with 18 points. He also added 3 passes in 30 minutes. It's Randall's first season with the team. This year Randall averages 4.7ppg, 1.4rpg and 2.2apg in 24 games.

   #4. Luke Meyer (6'10''-F, graduated '18, plays pro in North Macedonia) was not able to help one of league's weakest teams Feni Industries (9-6) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his good performance Feni Industries was defeated 90-80 at home by the higher-ranked Gostivar (#4). Meyer recorded 11 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. It's Meyer's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 12.5ppg, 8.4rpg and 1.5bpg.

   #5. Marko Spica (6'9''-C-86, graduated '10, plays in Hungary) contributed to Kaposvari's victory against the sixth-ranked ZTE KK (11-9) 96-85 in the Hungarian A Division last Saturday. He scored 8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 28 minutes. Kaposvari KK (8-12) is placed 11th in the A Division. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Spica has relatively good stats this year 11.7ppg, 4.4rpg and 2.4apg in 18 games. He has also Hungarian citizenship.

   #6. Marcus Van (6'7''-F/C-87, graduated '09, currently in Spain) contributed to Albacete's victory against the 12th-ranked Tormes 75-64 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) on Sunday night. Van scored 6 points, had 8 rebounds and made 3 blocks. This season Van averages 9.9ppg, 9.2rpg and 1.1apg.

   #7. Rayshawn Simmons (6'4''-G-93, graduated '16, plays pro in Germany) managed to help Team Ehingen Urspring in a victory against the league outsider Baunach 88-71 in the German ProA (second division) in Friday night's game. Simmons recorded only one point and added 9 assists in 25 minutes. Simmons has relatively good stats this year 12.0ppg, 3.6rpg and 9.1apg in 25 games.
