Top University of Michigan alumni playing currently pro basketball

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Wolverines alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Jordan Morgan (6'8''-C-91, graduated '14, plays pro in Turkey) could not help Banvit Basketbol Kulubu (9-5) in their game last Wednesday. Despite his very good performance the tenth-placed Banvit Basketbol Kulubu (9-5) was edged 81-79 on the road by the much higher-ranked Brose Baskets (#3) in the group A of Basketball Champions League. Morgan recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and getting 12 rebounds in 32 minutes. It's Morgan's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 14.5ppg, 7.2rpg and 1.1apg.

   #2. Manny Harris (6'5''-G-89, graduated '10, plays in Turkey) led Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul to a victory against the 13th-ranked Sakarya BSB (5-13) 87-83 in the Turkish BSL in Saturday night's game. He recorded 19 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul (10-8) is placed fifth in the BSL. It's Harris' first season with the team. Harris has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 21.8ppg, 6.0rpg, 2.8apg and 2.1spg in eight games he played so far.

   #3. Caris LeVert (6'7''-G-94, graduated '16, currently in the NBA) contributed to an easy victory against the Dallas Mavericks (27-38) crushing them 127-88 in the NBA last Monday. He scored 18 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 27 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only LeVert's third season in pro basketball. The Brooklyn Nets have 34-33 record this season. This year LeVert has very high stats. He averages 14.9ppg, 4.0rpg, 3.8apg and 1.1spg.

   #4. Tim Hardaway Jr. (6'6''-G-92, graduated '13, plays pro in the NBA) was not able to help the Dallas Mavericks (27-38) in their last game. Despite Hardaway Jr.'s very good performance the Dallas Mavericks (27-38) lost 123-132 in Washington to the Wizards. He scored 17 points. It was Mavericks' fourth consecutive loss in a row. Hardaway Jr. has very impressive stats this year 15.5ppg, 3.3rpg and 2.0apg in 12 games.

   #5. DeShawn Sims (6'8''-F-88, graduated '10, plays in Italy) was not able to secure a victory for Edilnol Bl in their game last Wednesday. Despite his good performance his team was defeated 78-70 in Scafati by the lower-ranked Givova (#6) in the West group. Sims scored 12 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 31 minutes. This season Sims has very high stats. He averages 15.5ppg, 3.3rpg and 2.0apg.

   #6. Derrick Walton Jr. (6'1''-G-95, graduated '17, currently in Germany) managed to help ALBA Berlin in a victory against the 13th-ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners 99-86 in the German BBL last Saturday. He recorded 5 points and added 5 passes. It was his first game for ALBA Berlin this season.

   #7. Moritz Wagner (6'11''-F-97, graduated '18, plays pro in the NBA) couldn't help the Los Angeles Lakers in their game against the Denver Nuggets in the NBA. Despite his good performance last Wednesday He scored 11 points in 27 minutes. This season Wagner averages 3.4ppg and 1.5rpg.

   #8. Darius Morris (6'4''-G-91, graduated '11, plays in the NBA G League) couldn't help the Santa Cruz Warriors in their game against the Windy City Bulls in the NBA G League, despite his very good performance on Sunday night. He recorded 21 points and added 6 passes. But his team lost 105-120 in the NBA G League. Morris has relatively good stats this year 14.6ppg, 3.1rpg and 6.6apg in 26 games.

   #9. Nik Stauskas (6'6''-SG-93, graduated '14, currently in the NBA) couldn't help the Cleveland Cavaliers in their game against the Detroit Pistons in the NBA. He recorded 8 points in 17 minutes. His team were crushed by 36 points 129-93 in the NBA. This season Stauskas averages 4.3ppg and 2.0rpg. He has also Lithuanian citizenship.

   #10. Glenn Robinson III (6'6''-F-94, graduated '14, plays pro in the NBA) contributed to an easy victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves 131-114 in the NBA on Wednesday night. Robinson III scored 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. This year Robinson III averages 4.1ppg and 1.4rpg in 36 games.
