Top Georgia Tech alumni playing currently pro basketball

We bring you last week's top former Yellow Jackets players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Derrick Favors (6'10''-F-91, graduated '10, plays pro in the NBA) was the major contributor in an Utah Jazz's victory against the Milwaukee Bucks (49-16) 115-111 in the NBA in Saturday night's game. He had a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 18 rebounds. Favors also added 3 blocks in 32 minutes. The Utah Jazz has 37-28 record this season. It's Favors' eighth year with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Favors averages 11.7ppg, 7.4rpg, 1.1apg and 1.4bpg in 63 games he played so far.

   #2. Charles Mitchell (6'8''-F/C-93, graduated '16, plays in Argentina) led Ferro to a victory over the 17th-ranked Quilmes MP (4-13) 90-78 in the Argentinian La Liga last Saturday. He was MVP of the game. Mitchell scored 20 points and grabbed 9 rebounds; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. Ferrocarril Oeste (14-6) is placed second in the La Liga. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. This season Mitchell has very high stats. He averages 17.0ppg, 9.0rpg and 1.9apg.

   #3. Trae Golden (6'3''-G-91, graduated '14, currently in Russia) contributed to Avtodor's victory against one of league's weakest teams Parma (3-15) 105-93 in the VTB United League on Saturday night. He had a double-double by scoring 19 points and making 15 passes. Golden also added 5 rebounds in 33 minutes. Avtodor Saratov (8-10) is placed eighth in the VTB United League. There are only two games left until the end of the VTB United League Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Golden's first season with the team. He has very impressive stats this year 16.9ppg, 2.5rpg and 7.8apg in 18 games.

   #4. Zachery Peacock (6'8''-C-87, graduated '10, plays pro in France) could not help JL Bourg Basket (18-4) in their last game on Friday. Despite his very good performance JL Bourg Basket was defeated 76-71 on the road by the much lower-ranked Olympique Antibes (#16). Peacock was the top scorer with 19 points. He also added 5 rebounds. It's Peacock's fourth season with the team. This year Peacock has very high stats. He averages 18.5ppg, 5.1rpg, 1.9apg and 1.2spg.

   #5. Thaddeus Young (6'8''-F-88, graduated '07, plays in the NBA) was not able to help the Indiana Pacers (42-24) in their last game. Despite his good performance the Indiana Pacers (42-24) lost 112-117 in Orlando to the Magic. Young recorded 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in 37 minutes. Young has very impressive stats this year 12.6ppg, 6.3rpg, 2.4apg and 1.6spg in 66 games.

   #6. Ben Lammers (6'10''-C-95, graduated '18, currently in Spain) contributed to an easy victory against the league leader Real Betis crushing them 98-68 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) on Sunday night. He scored 14 points, had 9 rebounds and made 3 blocks. Lammers has relatively good stats this season 10.4ppg, 6.7rpg and 2.3bpg.

   #7. James White (6'8''-F-93, graduated '16, plays pro in Bulgaria) contributed to Beroe's victory against the fifth-ranked Kozuv 94-85 in the Balkan League in Thursday night's game. White scored 10 points, had 5 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 28 minutes. White has relatively good stats this year 12.4ppg, 5.6rpg, 1.4apg and 1.1bpg in eight games.

   #8. Daniel Miller (6'11''-C-91, graduated '14, plays in Japan) was not able to secure a victory for Sendai 89ers in their game against Bambitious Nara in the Japanese B2 League. Despite his very good performance on Saturday night Miller recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and getting 15 rebounds. He also added 3 assists and 4 blocks. Miller has relatively good stats this season 14.3ppg, 11.3rpg, 3.9apg, 1.6bpg and 1.4spg.

   #9. Experienced Anthony McHenry (6'8''-SF-83, graduated '05, currently in Japan) was the main contributor in a Shinshu BW's victory against the sixth-ranked Kagawa FA crushing them 89-67 in the Japanese B2 League on Sunday night. McHenry was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 23 points and making 11 passes. McHenry also added 5 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) in 36 minutes. McHenry has very impressive stats this year 18.4ppg, 9.7rpg, 5.3apg, 1.3bpg and 1.7spg in 40 games.

   #10. Josh Okogie (6'4''-G-98, graduated '18, plays pro in the NBA) contributed to a Minnesota Timberwolves' victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder 131-120 in the NBA in Tuesday night's game. Okogie recorded 6 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Okogie has relatively good stats this season 7.5ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.1apg. He is a naturalized Nigerian.
