Best performed former Louisiana State University players in pro basketball in last week games

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Fighting Tigers alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Anthony Randolph (6'11''-PF-89, graduated '08, plays pro in Spain) led his Spanish team Real Madrid to a victory over the league leader Fenerbahce (21-4) 101-86 in the Euroleague last Thursday. He was MVP of the game. Randolph recorded 21 points in 30 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Real Madrid (19-6) is placed third in the Euroleague. Randolph has relatively good stats this year 13.6ppg and 4.7rpg in 25 games he played so far. He is a naturalized Slovenian.

   #2. Ben Simmons (6'10''-F-96, graduated '16, plays in the NBA) could not help the Philadelphia 76ers (41-25) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance the Philadelphia 76ers (41-25) were edged 120-117 on the road by the Golden State Warriors. Simmons recorded a triple-double by scoring 25 points, grabbing 15 rebounds and passing 11 assists. Simmons has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 17.0ppg, 9.3rpg, 7.8apg and 1.4spg.

   #3. Storm Warren (6'7''-PF-88, graduated '12, currently in Uruguay) was the main contributor in Bigua's victory against the third-ranked Goes (1-1) 92-82 in a derby game in the Uruguayan LUB in Saturday night's game. Warren was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 27 points and getting 10 rebounds. Warren also added 2 blocks and 5 steals in 39 minutes. Atletico Bigua Montevideo (1-1) is placed fourth in Places 7-10 group. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game will be critical. Warren has very impressive stats this year 16.8ppg, 7.8rpg, 1.3apg and 1.6spg in nine games.

   #4. Johnny O'Bryant III (6'9''-C/F-93, graduated '14, plays pro in Israel) contributed to a Maccabi T-A's victory against the ninth-ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (8-12) 87-82 in the Israeli Winner League last Sunday. O'Bryant III scored 13 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Maccabi Fox Tel-Aviv (15-4) is placed second in the Winner League. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. It's O'Bryant III's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 10.2ppg and 6.0rpg.

   #5. Justin Hamilton (7'0''-C-90, graduated '12, plays in China) helped Shougang Beijing Ducks edge the closely-ranked Sturgeons (26-18) 108-106 in the Chinese CBA on Tuesday night. He scored 21 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 33 minutes. Shougang Beijing Ducks (28-16) are placed sixth in the CBA. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. Hamilton has very impressive stats this year 23.0ppg, 9.5rpg, 2.4apg, 2.1bpg and 1.6spg in 43 games. He is a naturalized Croatian.

   #6. Shavon Coleman (6'5''-F-92, graduated '14, currently in Holland) helped Dutch Windmills Dordrecht edge one of league's weakest teams Leeuwarden 75-73 in the Dutch Eredivisie in Wednesday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Coleman recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 15 rebounds. This season Coleman has very high stats. He averages 17.0ppg, 9.0rpg, 2.4apg and 2.2spg.

   #7. Joshia Gray (6'1''-PG-93, graduated '16, plays pro in South Korea) helped LG Sakers win their game against the eighth-ranked Anyang KGC 79-65 in the South Korean KBL last Saturday. He was MVP of the game. Gray scored 21 points, had 7 rebounds and dished 6 assists in 22 minutes. Gray has very impressive stats this year 17.4ppg, 4.5rpg, 4.0apg and 1.6spg in 48 games.

   #8. Marcus Thornton (6'4''-G-87, graduated '09, plays in the NBA G League) helped Grand Rapids Drive win their game against the Sioux Falls Skyforce 107-91 in the NBA G League on Friday night. Thornton was MVP of the game. He scored 30 points (!!!), grabbed 4 boards, dished 3 assists and stole 4 balls. This season Thornton has very high stats. He averages 22.3ppg, 4.1rpg, 2.2apg and 1.8spg.

   #9. Antonio Blakeney (6'4''-G-96, graduated '17, currently in the NBA), who plays in the NBA was not able to help the Chicago Bulls (19-48) in their last game. Despite Blakeney's very good performance the Chicago Bulls lost 118-123 in Atlanta to the Hawks. He was the second best scorer with 17 points in 20 minutes. Blakeney has relatively good stats this year 7.6ppg and 1.6rpg in 44 games.

   #10. Experienced Jaime Lloreda (6'9''-C-80, graduated '04, plays pro in Uruguay) was not able to secure a victory for Hebraica (1-1) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his very good performance the second-placed Hebraica was badly defeated 92-76 in a derby game by the lower-ranked Goes (#3) in the Places 7-10 group. Lloreda scored 17 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. This season Lloreda has very high stats. He averages 19.8ppg, 10.4rpg and 1.3apg.
