Best performed former University of Cincinnati players in pro basketball in last week games

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Bearcats alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Sean Kilpatrick (6'4''-G-90, graduated '14, plays pro in Greece) led Panathinaikos to a victory over one of league's weakest teams Cretan Kings (3-14) 87-75 in the Greek A1 last Sunday. He was MVP of the game. Kilpatrick scored 22 points in 27 minutes. Panathinaikos Superfoods Athens (14-1) is placed first in the A1. Kilpatrick has relatively good stats this year 14.2ppg, 1.4rpg, 1.6apg and 1.4spg in five games he played so far.

   #2. Octavius Ellis (6'10''-C-93, played in 2011-16, plays in Greece) contributed to Promitheas' victory against the leader CB Canarias (12-2) 69-57 in the Basketball Champions League on Wednesday night. Ellis recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points and getting the same number of rebounds. He also added 3 blocks. ASP Promitheas Patras (8-6) is placed fourth in group D. This season Ellis averages 6.3ppg and 3.2rpg.

   #3. Cheikh Mbodj (6'10''-C-87, graduated '13, currently in Poland) was the main contributor in a 2-point Polski Cukier Torun's victory against the 13th-ranked HydroTruck Radom (5-15) 87-85 in the Polish EBL in Sunday night's game. Mbodj was MVP of the game. He scored 14 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and made 5 blocks in 28 minutes. Polski Cukier Torun (16-4) is placed fourth in the EBL. Mbodj has relatively good stats this year 12.0ppg, 6.1rpg, 1.3apg and 2.0bpg in 20 games.

   #4. Dion Dixon (6'3''-PG-89, graduated '12, plays pro in Argentina) was the major contributor in an Obras Basket's victory against the eighth-ranked Boca Juniors (11-8) 73-64 in a derby game in the Argentinian La Liga last Friday. He scored 18 points and added 4 assists. Obras Basket Buenos Airesis placed in the La Liga. Dixon has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 17.7ppg, 1.9rpg and 2.2apg.

   #5. Experienced Deonta Vaughn (6'1''-G-86, graduated '10, plays in Cyprus) contributed to Apoel's victory against the closely-ranked Apollon (9-10) 86-80 in the Cypriot Division A on Sunday night. He was MVP of the game. Vaughn recorded 23 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists in 37 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Cytavision Apoel Nicosiais placed third in the Division A. Vaughn has relatively good stats this year 11.7ppg, 3.3rpg and 4.7apg in 18 games.

   #6. Adam Hrycaniuk (6'9''-C-84, graduated '08, currently in Poland), who plays in the Polish EBL could not help one of league's weakest teams Stelmet Enea BC Zielona Gora to beat Asseco Arka. Hrycaniuk scored 6 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. His team was defeated 78-65. This season Hrycaniuk averages 8.2ppg and 5.7rpg.

   #7. Jacob Evans III (6'6''-G-97, graduated '18, plays pro in the NBA) was not able to help the Golden State Warriors in their game against the Boston Celtics in the NBA. He recorded 6 points in 17 minutes. His team were crushed by 33 points 128-95 in the NBA. This year Evans III averages 0.9ppg in 22 games.

   #8. Anthony McClain (6'11''-C-88, graduated '12, plays in Taiwan) was not able to secure a victory for Dacin Tigers (15-14) in their last game on Thursday. Despite his very good performance Dacin Tigers was edged 93-91 on the road by the second-ranked Fubon Braves. McClain recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and getting 14 rebounds. He also added 2 blocks. This season McClain has very high stats. He averages 17.6ppg, 13.5rpg and 2.3bpg.

   #9. Shaquille Thomas (6'7''-F-92, graduated '16, currently in Luxembourg) contributed to a Kordall Steelers' victory against the second-ranked Residence 82-74 in the Luxembourg Total League in Saturday night's game. He had a double-double by scoring 27 points and getting 19 rebounds in 38 minutes. Thomas has very impressive stats this year 26.2ppg, 13.4rpg, 1.6apg and 1.4bpg in five games.

   #10. Kyle Washington (6'9''-F-93, graduated '18, plays pro in the NBA G League) couldn't help the Sioux Falls Skyforce (23-19) in their last game on Friday. Despite Washington's good performance the Sioux Falls Skyforce (#3) was badly defeated 107-91 in Grand Rapids by the Drive. He scored 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. This season Washington averages 6.1ppg and 3.9rpg.
