Best performed former Arizona State University players in pro basketball in last week games

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Sun Devils alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. James Harden (6'5''-SG-89, graduated '09, plays pro in the NBA) led Houston Rockets to a victory over the Phoenix Suns (11-47) 118-110 in the NBA last Monday. He was MVP of the game. Harden scored 44 points (!!!), grabbed 8 boards, dished 6 assists and stole 3 balls in 38 minutes. The Houston Rockets have 33-23 record this season. It's Harden's seventh year with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Harden averages 36.6ppg, 6.7rpg, 7.8apg and 2.2spg in 52 games he played so far.

   #2. Shaquielle McKissic (6'5''-SF-90, graduated '15, plays in Turkey) was the main contributor in a Gaziantep Basketbol's victory against the 13th-ranked Sakarya BSB (5-12) crushing them 83-58 in the Turkish BSL on Saturday night. He was MVP of the game. McKissic scored 20 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Gaziantep Basketbol (10-7) is placed fifth in the BSL. It's McKissic's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 12.1ppg, 3.2rpg, 2.1apg and 1.5spg.

   #3. Torian Graham (6'5''-G-93, graduated '17, currently in Holland) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Den Helder (8-15) crushing them 88-55 in the Dutch Eredivisie in Thursday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Graham scored 28 points (!!!) in 29 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. New Heroes Basketball Den Bosch (15-5) is placed third in the Eredivisie. Graham has very impressive stats this year 18.3ppg and 3.7rpg in three games.

   #4. Tra Holder (6'1''-G-95, graduated '18, plays pro in Germany) could not help Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt (7-10) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Holder's good performance Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt was edged 96-94 on the road by the higher-ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (#8). He scored 11 points. This season Holder averages 5.5ppg and 2.0rpg.

   #5. Jahii Carson (5'10''-PG-92, graduated '14, plays in Romania) contributed to a 1-point Pitesti's victory against the fifth-ranked Timisoara (8-10) 86-85 in the Romanian Liga Nationala on Monday night. Carson recorded 15 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists in 29 minutes. BCM U FC Arges Pitesti (8-10) is placed sixth in Group Red. It's Carson's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 13.0ppg, 2.5rpg, 4.0apg and 1.7spg in six games.

   #6. Jeff Ayres (6'9''-F-87, graduated '09, currently in Japan) contributed to a Ryukyu GK's victory against the leader Chiba Jets 79-67 in the Japanese B League in Sunday night's game. He recorded 9 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists. Ayres has relatively good stats this season 14.9ppg, 9.1rpg and 1.9apg.

   #7. Gerry Blakes (6'4''-G-93, graduated '16, plays pro in Italy) helped MIA-RO Cantu win their game against one of league's weakest teams Grissin Bon RE 99-89 in the Italian Serie A last Saturday. Blakes recorded 7 points in 19 minutes. He has relatively good stats this year 11.4ppg, 3.2rpg and 2.7apg in 19 games.

   #8. Willie Atwood (6'7''-F-94, graduated '16, plays in United Kingdom) was not able to help Surrey Scorchers (3-16) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his good performance Surrey Scorchers was crushed 94-73 in London by the much higher-ranked London CR (#4). Atwood scored 14 points, had 7 rebounds and dished 4 assists. He has relatively good stats this season 10.6ppg, 6.4rpg and 2.5apg.

   #9. Ruslan Pateev (7'0''-C-90, graduated '13, currently in Poland) was not able to secure a victory for one of league's weakest teams Legia Warszawa in their game against Wilki Morskie in the Polish EBL. Pateev recorded 5 points in 17 minutes. His team lost 72-80. This year he averages 7.2ppg, 4.6rpg and 1.1bpg in 19 games.

   #10. Experienced Eric Boateng (6'10''-C-85, graduated '10, plays pro in France) helped Saint Vallier Basket Drome win their game against the 14th-ranked Aubenas crushing them 90-52 in the French NM1 (third division) last Saturday. Boateng scored 8 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and made 2 blocks. This season he averages 6.3ppg and 5.3rpg. Boateng has also Ghanian citizenship.
