Best performed former The George Washington University players in pro basketball in last week games

We bring you last week's top former Colonials players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Maurice Creek (6'5''-G-90, graduated '14, plays pro in Ukraine) led Kyiv Basket to a victory over one of league's weakest teams Cherkasy (5-12) 96-87 in the Ukrainian Superleague last Thursday. He was MVP of the game. Creek recorded 22 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals (made all of his five free throws) in 22 minutes. BC Kyiv Basket (17-2) is placed second in the Superleague. It was his team's 12th consecutive victory in a row. Creek has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 17.6ppg, 4.2rpg, 4.2apg and 1.6spg in 20 games he played so far.

   #2. Tony Taylor (6'1''-PG-90, graduated '12, plays in Italy) contributed to a Virtus Bologna's victory against the fourth-ranked Promitheas (8-6) 98-91 in the Basketball Champions League on Wednesday night. He scored 12 points. Virtus Segafredo Bologna (10-4) is placed first in group D. Taylor's team will play only one more game in the Basketball Champions League Regular Season. And that game will be critical. It's Taylor's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 11.6ppg, 3.2rpg and 4.2apg.

   #3. Yuta Watanabe (6'9''-G-94, graduated '18, currently in the NBA), who plays in the NBA could not help the Memphis Grizzlies (23-34) in their last game. Despite his good performance the Memphis Grizzlies (23-34) were crushed 117-95 on the road by the Oklahoma City Thunder. Watanabe scored 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 27 minutes. This year Watanabe averages 2.9ppg and 1.9rpg in 10 games.

   #4. Bo Zeigler (6'6''-F-95, graduated '18, plays pro in United Kingdom) helped Radisson Red Glasgow Rocks win their game against the closely-ranked Bristol Acadamy Flyers (8-9) 99-82 in the British BBL last Sunday. He scored 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Radisson Red Glasgow Rocks (9-8) is placed eighth in the BBL. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. It's Zeigler's first season with the team. This year Zeigler averages 8.3ppg, 4.4rpg and 1.1apg.

   #5. Damian Hollis (6'8''-F-88, graduated '10, plays in Italy) was not able to help Eurobasket RO in their game against Remer TVG (12-9) in the Italian Serie A2 (second division), despite his very good performance last Saturday. He had a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 12 rebounds. Hollis also added 2 blocks (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) in 36 minutes. But the 13th-placed Eurobasket RO (8-13) lost 85-90 at home to the much higher-ranked (#6) Remer TVG in the West group. It was Eurobasket RO's seventh consecutive loss in a row. Hollis has very impressive stats this year 15.7ppg and 5.8rpg in 21 games. He is a naturalized Hungarian.

   #6. Jaren Sina (6'2''-G-94, graduated '17, currently in Austria) managed to help BC Raiffeisen Flyers Wels to win in overtime against one of league's weakest teams UBSC Graz 87-85 in the Austrian A Bundesliga in Saturday night's game. He scored only 4 points and added 4 assists. Sina has relatively good stats this season 12.3ppg, 2.3rpg and 3.0apg. He is a naturalized Kosovan.

   #7. Experienced Mike Hall (6'8''-F-84, graduated '06, plays pro in Italy) was not able to secure a victory for Virtus Cassino in their game against Moncada AGR in the Italian Serie A2 (second division), despite his very good performance last Sunday. He had a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting the same number of rebounds. Hall also added 4 assists in 34 minutes. But his team lost 69-75. Hall has very impressive stats this year 16.8ppg, 13.5rpg, 3.5apg and 1.3spg in six games. He is a naturalized Irish.

   #8. Isaiah Armwood (6'9''-F-90, graduated '14, plays in the NBA G League) couldn't help the Capital City Go-Go in their game against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the NBA G League. He scored 7 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. His team was edged 121-118 in the NBA G League. This season Armwood averages 6.4ppg, 5.7rpg and 1.2bpg.
