Top Univ. of California-Santa Barbara alumni playing currently pro basketball

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Gauchos alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. James Nunnally (6'7''-G-90, graduated '12, plays pro in Italy) led AX Armani Exchange Milano to a victory over the 13th-ranked VL Pesaro (6-13) crushing them 111-74 in the Italian Serie A in Sunday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Nunnally recorded 25 points and added 4 assists in a mere 19 minutes. It was his first game for AX Armani Exchange Milano this season. His team is placed first in the Serie A.

   #2. Alan Williams (6'8''-C-93, graduated '15, plays in the NBA). He could not help the Brooklyn Nets (29-29) to beat the Milwaukee Bucks (42-14) in the NBA. Williams did not impress in that game on Monday. He scored only 2 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. The Brooklyn Nets (29-29) were badly defeated 113-94 on the road by the Bucks. It's Williams' first season with the team. This year Williams averages 3.3ppg and 4.7rpg.

   #3. Jalen Canty (6'8''-F-95, graduated '18, currently in Germany), who plays in the German ProA (second division) was not able to help VfL Kirchheim Knights (10-12) in their last game. Despite his good performance VfL Kirchheim Knights lost 74-79 in Heidelberg to the much higher-ranked (#4) MLP Academics. Canty recorded 10 points and blocked 2 shots in 17 minutes. It's Canty's first season with the team. This year he averages 4.4ppg and 3.1rpg in 22 games he played so far.

   #4. Alex Hart (6'11''-F-95, graduated '18, plays pro in Switzerland) was not able to secure a victory for Pully (0-3) in their game against Starwings (4-12) in the Swiss SBL. Despite his very good performance in Sunday night's game He scored 13 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Hart's first season with the team. This year Hart averages 8.9ppg and 9.9rpg. He has also Swiss passport.

   #5. Experienced Ivan Elliott (6'8''-F-86, graduated '08, plays in Germany) couldn't help Chemnitz (16-5) in their game against Phoenix Hagen (11-9) in the German ProA (second division). Elliott recorded 6 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 19 minutes. The league leader Chemnitz lost 69-84 at home to the lower-ranked (#7) Phoenix Hagen. It's Elliott's first season with the team. This year he averages 9.4ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.8apg in 17 games.

   #6. Alex Harris (6'5''-G-86, played in 2004-08, currently in Israel) was the main contributor in a 2-point Ramat Gan's victory against one of league's weakest teams Ironi Ashkelon 84-82 in the Israeli National League (second division) on Tuesday night. He was MVP of the game. Harris scored 32 points (!!!). He has individually a very good season with high stats. Harris averages 22.1ppg, 5.8rpg, 2.1apg and 1.1spg.
