Top James Madison University alumni playing currently pro basketball

Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top former Dukes players who continue their career in pro basketball.


   #1. Ron Curry (6'3''-G-93, graduated '16, plays pro in Hungary) led Falco-Vulcano to a victory over the closely-ranked DEAC (10-9) 103-96 in the Hungarian A Division on Friday night. He was MVP of the game. Curry recorded 18 points and added 3 assists in 30 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. Falco-Vulcano Energia KC Szombathely (12-7) is placed fourth in the A Division. It's Curry's first year with the team. Curry has relatively good stats this season 14.7ppg, 2.8rpg, 3.3apg and 1.5spg.

   #2. Jackson Kent (6'7''-G-93, graduated '17, plays in Germany) contributed to Nuernberg's victory against the closely-ranked Artland Dragons (10-12) 79-66 in the German ProA (second division) in Saturday night's game. Kent recorded 12 points and added 3 passes. Nuernberg Falcons BC (10-10) is placed ninth in the ProA. Kent has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 15.1ppg, 3.2rpg, 3.1apg and 1.5spg in 20 games he played so far.

   #3. Juwann James (6'6''-F/C-87, graduated '09, currently in Switzerland), who plays in the Swiss SBL could not help Lugano Tigers (3-0) to beat Massagno (12-5). He scored 7 points in only 11 minutes. The league leader Lugano Tigers were edged 79-77 on the road by the lower-ranked Massagno (#3). There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This season James has very high stats. He averages 18.4ppg, 6.1rpg, 1.9apg, 1.7bpg and 1.9spg.

   #4. Andrey Semenov (6'7''-F-90, graduated '14, plays pro in Russia) was the main contributor in a Runa Basket's victory against the tenth-ranked Dynamo-MGTU (11-17) 104-90 in the Russian Superleague 2 (third division) on Saturday night. He was MVP of the game. Semenov recorded 51 points (!!!) and had 4 steals. Runa Basket Moscow (21-7) is placed third in the Superleague 2. Semenov has very impressive stats this year 29.6ppg, 5.4rpg, 2.4apg and 2.3spg in seven games.

   #5. Denzel Bowles (6'10''-F/C-89, graduated '11, plays in Japan) contributed to a Kanazawa Samuraiz's victory against the sixth-ranked Tokyo HT (6-33) 98-90 in the Japanese B2 League in Saturday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Bowles recorded a double-double by scoring 36 points and getting 19 rebounds. He also added 2 blocks in 48 minutes. Kanazawa Samuraiz (16-23) is placed fourth in Central group. This season Bowles has very high stats. He averages 21.5ppg, 11.5rpg and 3.1apg.

   #6. Yohanny Dalembert (6'8''-F, graduated '17, currently in Canada) helped Sudbury Five win their game against the Cape Breton Highlanders 109-99 in the NBL Canada last Saturday. He recorded 8 points, 11 rebounds and 3 blocks. Dalembert has very impressive stats this year 21.5ppg, 11.5rpg and 3.1apg in 39 games. He has also Canadian citizenship.
