Best performed former Fresno State University players in pro basketball in last week games

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Bulldogs alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Paul George (6'9''-G/F-90, graduated '10, plays pro in the NBA) led Oklahoma City Thunder to a victory over the Portland Trail Blazers (33-23) 120-111 in the NBA last Monday. He was MVP of the game. George had a triple-double by scoring 47 points, grabbing 12 rebounds and passing 10 assists in 43 minutes. The Oklahoma City Thunder has a solid 37-19 record this season. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. George has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 28.3ppg, 7.9rpg, 4.0apg and 2.3spg in 54 games he played so far.

   #2. Alex Davis (6'9''-F-92, graduated '15, plays in Czech Republic). Davis could not help CEZ Nymburk (4-10) to beat Brose Baskets (8-6) in the Basketball Champions League. He scored 9 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. But the seventh-placed CEZ Nymburk (4-10) was defeated 78-71 on the road by the higher-ranked Brose Baskets (#3) in the group C of Basketball Champions League. The Regular Season already ended in the Basketball Champions League. This season Davis averages 6.1ppg and 3.7rpg.

   #3. Tyler Johnson (6'4''-G-92, graduated '14, currently in the NBA) was not able to help the Phoenix Suns in their game against the Sacramento Kings (30-26) in the NBA. Johnson scored 9 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 32 minutes. But the Phoenix Suns (11-47) lost 104-117 at home to the Kings. It was Suns' 14th consecutive loss in a row. This year Johnson averages 7.0ppg, 2.5rpg, 2.5apg and 1.5spg in two games.

   #4. Paul Watson (6'6''-G/F-94, graduated '17, plays pro in the NBA G League) contributed to a Westchester Knicks' victory against the Long Island Nets (22-14) 134-130 in the NBA G League last Saturday. He scored 18 points and grabbed 6 rebounds; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Watson's second season in pro basketball. The Westchester Knicks have 21-16 record this season. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This season Watson averages 6.7ppg and 4.4rpg.

   #5. Experienced Quinton Hosley (6'7''-F-84, graduated '07, plays in Poland) managed to help Stelmet Enea BC Zielona Gora in a victory against the closely-ranked Avtodor (6-10) 108-100 in the VTB United League on Sunday night. He recorded only 4 points and added 3 passes in 18 minutes. It was his first game for Stelmet Enea BC Zielona Gora this season. His team is placed 11th in the VTB United League. Hosley is a naturalized Georgian.

   #6. Jaron Hopkins (6'6''-G-94, graduated '18, currently in Finland), who plays in the Finnish Korisliiga was not able to secure a victory for Lapuan Korikobrat (9-18) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Hopkins' very good performance Lapuan Korikobrat was defeated 81-71 on the opponent's court by the second-ranked Kauhajoki. He was the top scorer with 20 points. Hopkins also added 3 steals. This season Hopkins has very high stats. He averages 16.3ppg, 6.1rpg, 2.3apg and 2.2spg.

   #7. Dominic McGuire (6'9''-PF-85, graduated '07, plays pro in Mexico) couldn't help Aaguacateros in their game against Abejas in the Mexican LNBP (second division). He scored 7 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 31 minutes. His team was edged 84-83. This year McGuire averages 10.0ppg, 8.7rpg, 4.8apg and 1.1spg in 18 games.

   #8. Cezar Guerrero (6'1''-G-92, graduated '16, plays in Mexico) couldn't help Libertadores in their game against Guaros in the LNBP. Guerrero scored 8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. His team was defeated 92-85. Guerrero has relatively good stats this season 14.1ppg, 3.8rpg and 4.6apg. He is a naturalized Mexican.

   #9. Terrell Carter II (6'10''-C, graduated '18, currently in Canada) couldn't help the Island Storm in their game against the Halifax Hurricanes in the NBL Canada. He recorded 5 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 25 minutes. His team was badly defeated by 18 points 101-83. Carter II has relatively good stats this year 14.1ppg, 3.8rpg and 4.6apg in 33 games.
