Best performed former Boston College players in pro basketball in last week games

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Eagles alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Tyrese Rice (6'1''-PG-87, graduated '09, plays pro in Germany) was the major contributor in a Brose Baskets Bamberg's victory against the league outsider Mitteldeutscher BC (3-16) 96-89 in the German BBL last Friday. He scored 20 points and added 7 passes in 30 minutes. Brose Baskets Bamberg (13-5) is placed fifth in the BBL. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. It's Rice's first season with the team. Rice has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 15.1ppg, 2.1rpg and 6.6apg in 18 games he played so far. Rice is a naturalized Montenegrin.

   #2. Reggie Jackson (6'3''-PG-90, graduated '11, plays in the NBA) led Detroit Pistons to an easy victory against the New York Knicks (10-45) 120-103 in the NBA on Friday night. Jackson scored 20 points and added 6 passes. The Detroit Pistons have 25-29 record this season. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. It's Jackson's fourth year with the team. This season he has very high stats. Jackson averages 14.8ppg, 2.8rpg and 4.4apg.

   #3. Patrick Heckmann (6'6''-SF-92, graduated '15, currently in Germany) is a teammate of previously mentioned Tyrese Rice. But that was another game of his team in German BBL which we would like to mention. Heckmann contributed to an easy victory against the 14th-ranked BG Goettingen (7-13) crushing them 100-77. He recorded 7 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists in 24 minutes. Brose Baskets Bamberg (13-5) is placed fifth in the BBL. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. It's Heckmann's fourth season with the team. This year Heckmann averages 6.4ppg, 2.6rpg and 1.6apg in 14 games.

   #4. Dennis Clifford (7'0''-C-92, graduated '16, plays pro in Germany) contributed to an easy victory against the fourth-ranked Partizan (2-4) crushing them 97-74 in the Eurocup last Wednesday. He scored 6 points. ALBA Berlin (5-1) is placed first in group E. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Eurocup Top 16. And that game will be critical. This season Clifford averages 4.3ppg and 2.5rpg.

   #5. Jerome Robinson (6'6''-G-97, graduated '18, plays in the NBA). Robinson could not help the Los Angeles Clippers (31-26) to beat the Indiana Pacers (37-19) in the NBA. He scored 7 points, made 3 passes and 5 steals in 28 minutes. The Los Angeles Clippers (31-26) were crushed 116-92 on the road by the Indiana Pacers. This year Robinson averages 3.7ppg and 1.2rpg in 20 games.

   #6. Olivier Hanlan (6'4''-G-93, graduated '15, currently in Germany) was not able to help Telekom Baskets Bonn in their game against BK Opava in the Basketball Champions League. He scored 9 points and had 3 steals. His team was edged 73-71. This season Hanlan averages 6.6ppg, 1.6rpg and 2.0apg.

   #7. Experienced Craig Smith (6'7''-F-83, graduated '06, plays pro in Bahamas) was not able to secure a victory for one of league's weakest teams P.J. Stingers in their game against Giants in the Bahamas NPBA. He recorded 8 points and added 4 assists in 18 minutes. His team lost 89-99. This year Smith averages 3.7ppg, 3.2rpg, 3.3apg and 1.2spg in six games.
