Top University of Michigan alumni playing currently pro basketball

Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top former Wolverines players who continue their career in pro basketball.


   #1. Jordan Morgan (6'8''-C-91, graduated '14, plays pro in Turkey) could not help Banvit Basketbol Kulubu (6-11) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Banvit Basketbol Kulubu lost 74-82 on the road to the higher-ranked (#5) Gaziantep. Morgan had a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 11 rebounds in 32 minutes. Morgan has relatively good stats this year 13.6ppg, 7.3rpg, 1.1apg and 1.1spg in 16 games he played so far.

   #2. Manny Harris (6'5''-G-89, graduated '10, plays in Turkey) led Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul to a victory over the closely-ranked Darussafaka (7-10) 92-85 in a derby game in the Turkish BSL last Monday. Harris was MVP of the game. He scored 27 points (!!!) and had 5 steals. Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul (9-8) is placed seventh in the BSL. It's Harris' first season with the team. Harris has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 21.3ppg, 6.8rpg, 2.8apg and 1.8spg.

   #3. DeShawn Sims (6'8''-F-88, graduated '10, currently in Italy) was the main contributor in a Eurotrend BI's victory against the 15th-ranked FCL Contract LG (4-17) 78-74 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) on Sunday night. He was MVP of the game. Sims scored 25 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 31 minutes. Eurotrend Biella (12-9) is placed fifth in West group. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Sims has very impressive stats this year 22.2ppg, 6.6rpg and 1.5apg in 21 games.

   #4. Tim Hardaway Jr. (6'6''-G-92, graduated '13, plays pro in the NBA) was the major contributor in a 1-point Dallas Mavericks' victory against the Portland Trail Blazers (33-22) 102-101 in the NBA in Sunday night's game. Hardaway Jr. scored 24 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists. The Dallas Mavericks have 26-29 record this season. This year Hardaway Jr. has very high stats. He averages 12.0ppg, 3.0rpg and 2.0apg.

   #5. Trey Burke (6'1''-PG-92, graduated '13, plays in the NBA) is a teammate of previously mentioned Tim Hardaway Jr.. But that was another game of his team in NBA which we would like to mention. Burke was not able to help the Dallas Mavericks (26-29) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the Dallas Mavericks (26-29) lost 107-122 in Milwaukee to the Bucks. Burke was the second best scorer with 18 points. He also added 5 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 27 minutes. Burke has relatively good stats this year 9.0ppg, 3.0rpg and 3.0apg in two games.

   #6. Zack Irvin (6'6''-G/F-94, graduated '17, currently in the NBA G League) contributed to a Westchester Knicks' victory against the Long Island Nets 134-130 in the NBA G League on Saturday night. He recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and getting 14 rebounds. Irvin also added 3 assists. Irvin has relatively good stats this season 11.0ppg, 8.9rpg and 2.6apg.

   #7. Caris LeVert (6'7''-G-94, graduated '16, plays pro in the NBA) was not able to secure a victory for the Brooklyn Nets (29-28) in their last game. Despite his good performance the Brooklyn Nets were badly defeated 125-106 in Chicago by the Bulls. LeVert scored 11 points, made 4 passes and 5 steals in a mere 15 minutes. LeVert has very impressive stats this year 17.9ppg, 4.1rpg, 3.7apg and 1.5spg in 15 games.

   #8. Experienced Jamal Crawford (6'5''-G-80, graduated '00, plays in the NBA) couldn't help the Phoenix Suns in their game against the Houston Rockets in the NBA. He scored 8 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 9 assists. His team were defeated 118-110 in the NBA. This season Crawford averages 6.1ppg, 1.2rpg and 3.3apg.

   #9. Derrick Walton Jr. (6'1''-G-95, graduated '17, currently in Lithuania) managed to help B.C. Zalgiris Kaunas in a victory against the eighth-ranked Prienu Skycop crushing them 96-67 in the Lithuanian LKL on Sunday night. He scored only 3 points and added 5 assists in 13 minutes. This year Walton Jr. averages 8.4ppg, 3.0rpg and 4.4apg in 15 games.

   #10. D.J. Wilson (6'10''-F-96, graduated '17, plays pro in the NBA) helped Milwaukee Bucks win their game against the Washington Wizards 148-129 in the NBA in Wednesday night's game. Wilson recorded only 4 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. This season Wilson averages 6.0ppg and 4.7rpg.
