Top University of Louisville alumni playing currently pro basketball

We bring you last week's top former Cardinals players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Kyle Kuric (6'4''-SG-89, graduated '12, plays pro in Spain) was the major contributor in a FC Barcelona Lassa's victory against the 15th-ranked Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (7-13) crushing them 106-76 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Saturday night's game. He scored 16 points and added 3 passes in 21 minutes. FC Barcelona Lassa (17-3) is placed first in the Liga Endesa. It's Kuric's first season with the team. Kuric has relatively good stats this year 10.3ppg and 2.5rpg in 18 games he played so far. He is a naturalized Slovakian.

   #2. Donovan Mitchell (6'3''-G-96, graduated '17, plays in the NBA) led Utah Jazz to a victory over the San Antonio Spurs (32-26) crushing them 125-105 in the NBA last Saturday. He was MVP of the game. Mitchell recorded 23 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. The Utah Jazz has 32-24 record this season. Mitchell has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 22.4ppg, 3.8rpg, 4.0apg and 1.6spg.

   #3. Peyton Siva (6'0''-PG-90, graduated '13, currently in Germany) contributed to an ALBA Berlin's victory against the 12th-ranked Telekom Baskets (8-10) 93-81 in the German BBL on Sunday night. Siva scored 12 points, made 6 passes and 3 steals in 24 minutes. ALBA Berlin (13-4) is placed fourth in the BBL. This year Siva averages 10.0ppg, 1.7rpg, 6.9apg and 2.6spg in seven games.

   #4. Montrezl Harrell (6'8''-F-94, graduated '15, plays pro in the NBA) was the main contributor in a Los Angeles Clippers' victory against the Boston Celtics (35-21) 123-112 in the NBA in Saturday night's game. Harrell was MVP of the game. He recorded 21 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. The Los Angeles Clippers have 31-26 record this season. This year Harrell has very high stats. He averages 15.8ppg, 6.6rpg, 1.7apg and 1.4bpg.

   #5. Mangok Mathiang (6'10''-F/C-92, graduated '17, plays in Italy) contributed to an easy victory against the seventh-ranked Virtus Bologna (10-9) 87-70 in the Italian Serie A last Saturday. Mathiang had a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 10 rebounds in 30 minutes; not bad, considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. Vanoli Basket Cremona (12-7) is placed third in the Serie A. Mathiang has relatively good stats this year 10.1ppg and 9.7rpg in 19 games. He has also South Sudanese citizenship.

   #6. Terry Rozier (6'1''-PG-94, graduated '15, currently in the NBA), who plays in the NBA could not help the Boston Celtics (35-21) in their last game on Thursday. Despite Rozier's very good performance the Boston Celtics were edged 129-128 on the road by the Los Angeles Lakers. He scored 19 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 6 assists. Rozier has relatively good stats this season 9.1ppg, 4.2rpg and 3.2apg.

   #7. Samardo Samuels (6'9''-F/C-89, graduated '10, plays pro in France) contributed to a Limoges CSP Elite's victory against the closely-ranked SIG Strasbourg 90-76 in the French Jeep ELITE in Saturday night's game. He scored 17 points in a mere 16 minutes. Samuels has relatively good stats this year 10.5ppg, 4.3rpg and 1.1apg in 17 games.

   #8. Experienced Juan Palacios (6'9''-F/C-85, played in 2004-08, plays in France) helped ES Chalon-Sur-Saone win their game against the closely-ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque crushing them 91-66 in the French Jeep ELITE last Monday. He was MVP of the game. Palacios recorded 21 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Palacios has relatively good stats this season 14.2ppg, 5.4rpg, 2.5apg and 1.1spg. He has also Spanish citizenship.

   #9. Earl Clark (6'10''-PF-88, graduated '09, currently in Montenegro), who plays in Montenegro was not able to help one of league's weakest teams Buducnost (13-6) in their last game. Despite Clark's good performance Buducnost lost 67-76 in Beograd to the higher-ranked (#3) Partizan. He recorded 12 points and added 3 assists in 25 minutes. Clark has relatively good stats this year 12.4ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.6apg in 19 games.

   #10. Gorgui Dieng (6'11''-C-90, graduated '13, plays pro in the NBA) was not able to secure a victory for the Minnesota Timberwolves in their game against the New Orleans Pelicans in the NBA. Dieng scored 9 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. His team were defeated 122-117 in the NBA. This season Dieng averages 5.7ppg and 4.1rpg.
