#1. Dominique Archie (6'7''-F-87, graduated '10, plays pro in Italy) could not help Openjobmetis Varese (11-8) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Openjobmetis Varese was edged 74-71 on the road by the lower-ranked (#11) Dolomiti En. TR. Archie was the second best scorer with 17 points. He also added 9 rebounds in 31 minutes. It's Archie's first season with the team. Archie has relatively good stats this year 11.6ppg, 4.7rpg, 1.4apg and 1.2spg in 19 games he played so far.

#2. Experienced Renaldo Balkman (6'8''-F-84, graduated '06, plays in Philippines) led his Filipino team SM Beermen to a victory over the closely-ranked Hong Kong ELL (11-9) 96-81 in the ASEAN League on Friday night. Balkman was MVP of the game. He scored 32 points (!!!), had 4 boards, handed out 4 passes and blocked 3 shots. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. San Miguel Beermen (13-2) is placed first in the ASEAN League. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. It's Balkman's first season with the team. Balkman has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 26.5ppg, 11.2rpg, 3.8apg, 1.5bpg and 1.4spg. Balkman is a naturalized Puerto Rican.
